I updated the article with the leverage curve they provided. I think that a lot of people only look at percentages to dictate how much support a bike will provide and ignore the fact that the percentage of change can start from a very high ratio. This bike starts pretty low and stays there which I like because it doesn't hit a wall of compression but instead feels very supportive throughout its travel. This seems like a smart move to me because, with a coil shock, it has great small bump absorption, but if replaced with an air shock (i.e...

it's litterally the opposite of what you're saying, a very progressive bike will sit deeper into the travel and will be easier to use 3/4 of the travel while hard to use the last 1/4, a more linear bike will have more support towards the mid stroke

LOL I have three S Works power with mimic and an S Works power, all $329 which is still ridiculous but I was sold on no sores and can still feel my nuts. No stranger to splurging on good components, but $450 for a saddle is absolutely ridiculous. And frankly, I like my SQLab 60X more than my mimic power saddles so far, which is saying a lot. 😄

Just got my Ratio Flux in today, threw it on my Zeb, running 5psi more than standard and it definitely feels more linear than with the stock cap with no tokens (I'm 220 lb rider weight on a 170mm fork). Will report back when I get more miles on it. So far so good

In my opinion, no. Reducing stroke will bring the front end lower, increasing some very important geometry, the least of which is head tube angle. This may affect how the bike handles at speed. And changing to a smaller diameter fork may increase flex in the front end, or if the frame is too stiff, put more load into the smaller fork and change its performance characteristics (stiction, binding).
