Not bragging, but I just pre ordered the shock and fork. I've been eyeing Intend fork and shock for some time now. Having ran Push for the last 1.5 years, I am truly a fan of a good damper and know that some of this stuff is bonkers expensive, but its also ease of use and maintenance that is key. The fact that you can service a Push 9.1 fork and these Intend forks yourself with basic tools and they use off-the-shelf lubricants and seals makes it a bit more palatable. Was thinking the same, and Ride Concepts just came out with a dual-BOA laced flat pedal shoe. But if the tension is correct, who cares, right? Will report back when I get mine next week. lol

Dude, i'm with you. I've only rode the 2FO DH, never the roosts. But I feel the same with specialized newer shoes, no lace straps/garage and no heel strap.

Just bought me a pair on sale! Cant wait to try them out against my favorite, Specialized 2FO DH. Specialized got rid of the heel strap and lace strap for the newer version, not keen on that. My older 2FO's had 2 hard seasons of riding and finally kicked the bucket.

Been waiting 10 years for this shoe to happen. I have a cache of runout specialized 2f0 roost shoes to get through though, they are excellent too. Stickier than the freerider IMO but laces and not as comfy off the bike as a freerider.

They've actually reduced the complexity quite a bit. In another review a Fox engineer spoke about the goal to reduce bespoke tools for ease of maintenance. Just like the new 34 and 36 now use a BB tool instead of the expensive chamferless sockets etc..

This is why all my bikes run Rockshox, a few easy to get tools and a bit of patience and you can service the entire shock or fork at home. That said expect it to be a bit (or very) messy the firstime around!

Well dang, I just bought three 60X Ergo's for my three bikes this season. What I always didnt like so much was the nose length, but its helped in some climbs to move far forward. I liked the specialized saddles for their short noses....this may be the best of both worlds!
