I'll try to keep it general to stay relevant to the thread, - Even using that much travel on drops might be fine, or at least don't rule out running slightly higher pressure still. Friction & spring are the 2 most important things (after tyres) so don't stress about the damper until those are fully optimised. If there is too much friction or the spring is too soft then there won't be much difference between those 2 tunes I can't speak for Jordi but my thoughts would be a) the Charger 3.1 is very different to grip 2 or X2...

I have had good luck with cutting the end of the tubeless tape at a bias - a 45 degree type cut at the end. Seems to work well at keeping the end down and not slowly working itself loose over time.

I feel this in the, uh, feels. I have several wheels that I'm in the process of rebuilding right now and the existential dread that comes with the tubeless shuffle is like a dark cloud hanging my garage each time I finish a wheel.

2 weeks ago I finally got around to having time to set up the new crankbrothers synthesis wheelset from vital fantasy (still so stoked thank you vital and crankbrothers). Pulled the tires and tannus tubeless off my oem set (which I can mount by hand without Tyre levers). Try to install them on the new set. 29r front goes on easy by hand. 27.5 rear is unbelievably tight to get the last little bit and needs levers to get on. Won’t hold air longer than 20min. Spray it with soapy water and it blows bubbles around the valve stem and...

What are you going on about? A bike is only useful for a region because of some made up ratio keyboard warriors use to justify their geo. Been riding EVILS for years, all over Europe , US, Canada, South America. They ride amazing everywhere. If you actually learn how to ride a bike with a short chain stay, your mystical golden ratio of bike useability is a crock of nonsense. That's coming from someone who has ridden 1.7-1.93's. You can ride the rubber off all of them, they just require different rider inputs to maximize the handling characteristics. Full stop...

Thanks for the note & we are happy to be here! To be completely honest, I think this question is better posed toward companies that refused to tread into Superboost territory in the first place. We don't need any convincing - we still believe in the benefits of Superboost, although at the end of the day, we are a business who's goal is to actually sell bikes. The market spoke loud & clear on this one, and Boost came out on top. At the end of the day, Superboost has inarguable benefits in both strength and clearance. The elephant in...

S - 7.79lb / M - 7.87lb / L - 8.04lb / X - 8.18lb. That is with SuperDeluxe shock, headset cups, and all frame hardware. Worth noting that weight will vary from one frame to the next, although these are actual weights that were just taken in the warehouse.

I did have a master cylinder on a V4 that did something this. It would be fine in the garage and feel spongy on the trail at times, then Ok - very inconsistent. After a ride I would check things - no leaks, top off fluid at the MC, bleed, and it would help for a bit and then boom...

haha, I bought Dean Lucas wilson from that Era, This was his 2014 worlds bike. I'd like to think Stevie touched it in some way. Cool trivia is this was a mule for the 27.5 bike, proto linkage, coil boxxer world cup. Best bike I ever owned.

I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE

The Lift damper only came out last year, and the V2 update just this spring, so it's only very recently been in our own forks. But, in prior years, our Ribbon forks won "Suspension Product of the Year" on PB and received very positive reviews from WideOpen Mag, Singletrack, and elsewhere – including a great user review here. So, in my eyes they're hardly "meh," but people are entitled to their own opinions. Hope we get to change yours in the future. 👍
