The problem with reducing backsweep by rolling a bar forward is it will increase upsweep. That's a nonstarter for me, as it increases pressure on the outer edge of my hand, which is my problem spot.

While I don’t factor coolness and I doubt any teams are. Though not sexually based I’ve gone thru my own false accusation. And what saved me (as well as others I’ve known) in that scenario socially and at work is my reputation and how I treat people. And that when I articulated what really happened to my boss and friends people trusted me. And to me it says a lot that commencal immediately dropped him, and that nobody was defending his character throughout the saga. And daprela’s own words and actions have been to threaten anyone from speaking about it...

1/22/2026 2:50pm The downside to low lactose is that lactose is what helps cause cheesy dreams. I thought I recalled DJI saying they did not want to be a bike brand, and just wanted to sell a motor. I've always assumed they would fold out of cycling at some point when their motor ecosystems are more distributed and appreciated.

in America, do you guys have the same issues we have with youths on those throttle only fat wheeled ebikes? Down my part of the world (Southern Sydney) it's rife with entitled kids on these things riding down the middle of the road (usually the wrong way) no helmet, 2 up with virtually zero riding skills and no traffic sense (too young for a licence) there has been a few fatalities recently. I love the fact kids are off screens and outdoors, I'm more stoked they are on bikes but playing chicken with cars is never going to end well...

If you want to maximize flexibility then you’ll be working to the maximum allowable stress. For a given use case that is the same regardless of bar diameter. You’d could decrease wall thickness of the 35 mm OD cross section to increase deflection but then you’d drop below that maximum allowable stress. Alternatively you could make the 31.8 mm bar thicker, but then you’ve arguably changed the use case for those bars and it’s no longer apples to apples.
