Having ridden at La Thuile in the past, I can confirm that the area where the world cup track is routed is steep as F£&K.

Shout out to Jonny. I learned a lot about a bike I'd probably visually pass over but he's made so many good points about the bike, and likely sold it more than Scott ever could. Love the external routing 'hack'. Love the little axle seated multi tool. (Don't love the pressfit BB but hey whatever.) He even mentions how to tame pressfit BBs too. Jonny is a legend for this one.

I think it is safe to say Rampage changed a lot of people's lives. I got to go in 2003 and it for sure had an impact on mine. The rain in 2004 changed the direction of Rampage forever. It transitioned it from the big mountain ski style contests to evolve to what it is today, for better or worse. Seems like 20 years later, we are no clearer to clear outlines of what is a winning line. Though Cedric hit some gnarly stuff and tossed in a flip to win in 2003. Pretty clear winner IMO. i prob tell this story every year, but i went out there in '01 to film and left after the first practice day b/c i thought for sure someone would die. it was terrifying. von williams rolling up to the main drop of the day and slapping into a trials hop off the clif was the sickest. and lance canfield. he was right at home.
