I used to look after the rental bikes at a bike park. People used to blow the forks and shocks up all the time so I de-coupled the compression adjusters. They'd come back complaining about the bike and I'd turn the knobs a few clicks for them. They's come back next run raving about how much better it was now.

we're itching too! it'll prob go live tomorrow (thursday) morning just like fort bill. the "entry list" for riders is in, but it's never fully accurate. once qualifying start list lands, that's when we can button it up and launch. stoked!

I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there. Nevertheless, I think I have some unique credibility here. So if you will endulge...

telluride was super short without any significant steep sections IIRC. photo of colin bailey at telluride below. i shot in 2002 and remember getting this slide back (film rules...look at the sky), and thinking maybe i could do more of this MTB photo stuff. later that day a rider crashed, her bike flew up and hit me and broke the flash off my camera LOL. i think telluride '02 was in clappin yo' dome w/ snoopdogg and pharell song to the section. had that log whoop section. most DH racers did 4x too. crazy that was 22 years ago. sorry...

The town has multiple ski areas, some are tiny, but the one that I *think* the race is being held at is "Szyndzielnia – Bielsko-Biała." My best attempt at googling the ski resort says that the vertical drop is 590 meters, or 1935 feet. Now, based on the video, it looks like they're running the race on the lower lifts, not all the way from the top, but still my eyeballs tell me there's plenty of hill and plenty of grade to run a downhill track down to the village at the bottom. The dirt, rocks, and roots look great...

That bit about Frameworks customers offering their frames got me feeling stuff. Thank you, mountain bike people.

Asa would’ve been 12th in elite today. The top junior females had top 10 elite times. The new gen is scary fast.
