TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic I don't like the direction of modern trail building

11/16/2020 12:09pm
Hey StudBeefpile, this is Charlie Sponsel. I live in Silverdale and I'm on the board of Evergreen Westsound. I'm helping lead an Evergreen work team to "flowify" the trail Derailed right now, and I'd love to hear your feedback more in detail. Our goal was to make this blue beginner flow trail more fun for beginners and for expert riders, too. Sounds like you're not a big fan of the changes that are happening at Port Gamble. Please contact me at charliesponsel@gmail.com or, even better, give me a call at 503-819-XXXX. We always appreciate feedback, and even more than feedback...

Nukeproofbikes Liked a comment about Press Release Nukeproof Introduces Limited Edition Reactor 290c ST

Very true, none of our Reactor models would be considered "extreme" or win a game of Top Trumps. However we put a lot of of effort into the engineering, R&D and testing to ensure they perform for riders in the real world on the trail. So far most riders, racers and media seem to enjoyed riding them (check Vitals review the other week). But happy to accept that they may not be for everyone- the beauty of the bike industry is there are a lot of brands to choose from.

I really wish mountain biking had some sort of "draft day" where all this shit is unveiled at once. The slow trickle of news is making for a really anti-climatic feeling to all this.

You do not need UCI points to race at a World Cup round. Anyone with a USA Cycling international pro license ($225 I think?) can race if they submit a petition to USA Cycling and are accepted onto our "National Federation Team" for the event. Racing for the federation means you have to qualify and race in "The Jersey," your national federation's ugly jersey that has none of your sponsors' logos on it. Here's an example of Eliot Jackson racing Leogang in "The Jersey" in 2011: https://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6726404/ The rules are probably slightly different now, but back in my day...

And Klein to Klein. The Commencal's high pivot wasn't high enough; he's riding a Mantra for 2020.

Do you have any links to any working apps/websites that do that? I was using Mates Race before but that stopped working with an API update last year and I haven't found anything else since. OP - Most of the DH segments on the trails I ride regularly are under a minute long due to how flat it is around...
