I feel like Specialized tires constantly get a bad rep. I was graciously gifted a pair of the old black diamond casing tires about 2 years ago and loved them, until a certain point. The casing seemed to wear out and get "soft" and the rubber compound was definitely on the hard side which wasn't so good in the front, but I loved it as a rear tire. When those gave up the ghost I didn't hesitate to pick up a pair of Grid Gravity Butcher/Eliminator in a 2.6. I've been incredibly happy with these. I've got about 6 months...

@swiznooski on insta did a SICK rust Venge (just searching "rust venge" will bring it up) a couple years ago when he was still at Specialized.

Let's not forget that Mick is the all-time king of the speed trap. Seemed like no matter where he qualified, he managed to be the fastest whenever there was a speed trap on course.

Monsters are from 98 up to 02 in this first version. this bike came wih a MrT when new. But the Sintesi team used the Monster too. This Monsters are the 170 travel ones. first gen.

Comes from road cycling. The "sticky bottle" is when a racer holds onto a new bottle "handed off" from a team car a to get a boost or a momentary bit of a rest. Ie skitching/ motor assist
