8/23/2024 12:47am according to local trek dealer the rail will be part of the Bosch announcement. Still frustrating the really good gen 4 rail only got released as carbon and higher end spec's.

8/22/2024 4:21pm I've watched some pinkbike commenters ride...... it's like watching kids on balance bikes. but they are more than happy to say X bike sucks on double blacks/prolines lol.

8/20/2024 10:54am Giant probably couldnt give two sh1t's about a pinkbike review of any of their bikes, Giant is 'this is how we do things and we wont deviate' I've ridden the new glory and couldnt disagree more, it's fantastic. - the new Reign is IMO one of the best all round bikes you can buy at the moment in that category...

8/20/2024 1:39am regardless of who's written the article... pinkbike is to corporate now, the other guy jumped out as he clearly wasnt enjoying it, same with tom. They are always bent over the lap of bike brands - Their reviews are always the same rubbish... hardly any truth to them.

8/16/2024 8:23pm for awhile ISCG bash guards were a selling point... Most frames cannot handle hits in that zone and brands will often tell you not to use one or you can void warranty. I've Broken 3 frames from it, Id rather bend a cheap chainring now thanks.

8/16/2024 11:51am once I vacuum bled the rear an spent a little time doing the piston thing, only a hint of difference which was barely noticeable... the amount was less than other brands for front vs rear.

8/16/2024 12:42am Only selling Scott, brutal. Ya I don't have very MTB-oriented shops nearby so it's all the big S and T and Giant if you're lucky. Basically have to head far out of town to get a shop with some real brands. But I know there's a lot that goes on under the hood and how the big brands want to keep it that way and do right by the shop if they keep it that way. Would love to see Marin and Kona at more shops. Though I can hardly blame shops for not wanting to get in with Kona...

8/15/2024 10:39pm I had the issue of the local shop being really good but they only sold Scott stuff and i didnt want that rubbish, finally convinced them to explore brands, now they sell trek, marin & merida... they are selling 3 x the bikes, And for the help I get the 'family discount' ... had a small warranty thing as i...

8/15/2024 4:23pm The best experience is no Warranty experience.... 100%. Im a firm believer Bike QC is terrible and us as a community MUST do better to reject these bikes - I pointed out to 3 guys at skyline QT their bikes were bad and they had no idea. My 4 canyons, all had multiple frame replacements... they just kept throwing frames...

8/15/2024 2:20am 100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is! Oh well, we call it the superfoxy now and it is 170/160mm. -Oh ok, sorry I didn't keep up with the name changes, but can I still get a Dune? -Of course sir, right this way, 170/165mm hard hitter, beautiful...

8/14/2024 11:27pm I would add that part of this is also that the major evolution in the last 2-3 years have been in ebikes, which this forum is relatively hostile towards. Generalization and hyperbole incoming: take a 2021 ebike and compare it to it's 2024/5 variant, it will look better, have better geo, better integration, more range, more power, lighter... Take a 2021 MTB and compare it to its 2024/2025 variant, it's the same bike but with headset routing, no rear derailleur routing and maybe some minor reworking of front and rear lengths or suspension curves barely anyone can feel.
