Watching Jack and Texi together on vlogs was something special, gonna miss it. EDR video content is basically resting on Charlies shoulder now then.

Interesting you frame it as total nepotism. When you could easily read the rule around how teams 15-20 might be selected as allowing the best races and teams that might provide the best support and care for riders access to the series. 15 teams selected on merit in a fairly objective way and 5 teams selected on a variety of criteria, that you'd hope is used to make sure teams that can provide healthy salaries for riders and staff and a safe environment for racers are selected. Hardline and all of the other events run by Red Bull have rider...

I have been watching Race Tapes and have listened to a PB pod with a couple of the crew from Beat Box. Clearly, they are going for the Drive to Survive documentary vibe. I hated almost all the episodes. I really don't like the style of storytelling and thought the episode with Finn was pretty cringy. It was also very "inaccurate" for the sake of telling a story. I hope that DH racing never goes to the places that F1 is. I just don't want something I love to be misrepresented, or cheapened to broaden the audience. Do we need...

I'm getting the names Ethan Craik and Marine Cabirou from beyond. Unfortunately I'm a shit medium, so the spirits won't tell me who were 2nd and 3rd.

The British Ethan Craik and the French Marine Cabirou, both from Scott DH Factory, today won the elite races in the first race of the Portuguese Downhill Cup (DHI) presented by Shimano, held in Vila Cova à Coelheira, Seia. With more than 300 runners registered, the race was dominated by foreign runners. Among the male elite, Ethan Craik stood out, who made the final descent in 2'13''252, marking a significant advantage over the competition. Two Frenchmen followed, Loic Bruni (Specialized Gravity), who spent another 1.939 seconds, and Loris Vergier (Trek Factory Racing DH), who was 2.705 seconds behind. The best...

Am I the only one who thinks waiting so long to announce this stuff has actually kind of taken the excitement out of it? I was pretty pumped after the new years but the excitement has kind of wore off now.

I think OnOff is Mondraker's house brand of components, is it not? Their address is Mondraker HQ.

The new mondraker team is going to be fine. they have good suspensions (fox), good tires (maxxis), good geometry (proto bike has adjustment), lots of team support and staff. They have a race engineer and I’m sure they can modify the bike if needed. if the bikes antisquat is slightly off that is not going to ruin someone’s career.

Angel Suarez has fantastic technique and can hold some pretty insane pace. I think he's been on some higher-profile teams because people who know bike racing can see that this guy has potential. That said, his career in the elite field is entering its 10th season, and it hasn't been a smooth decade. Out of 59 Elite World Cup / World Champ registrations he has missed 19 to DNS/F/Q. First top-ten in his 4th season, and his first podium in his 8th season. Good riders to compare him to would be Mark Wallace and Benoit Coulanges, who each entered Elite...
