4/3/2025 8:42am To be fair, it's also possible that competitively priced and highly specialized manufacturing will pop up in the U.S. at enormous scale with armies of knowledgable, specialized non-immigrant workers in the next month to save us from these high costs. That's all we need. Well, that and in-country raw material extraction for materials that often don't exist in our borders in the quantities we need, like bauxite, rubber, lithium, cobalt, rare earth elements, etc. But if we can figure out those two aspects in the next month we'll be fine.

4/3/2025 8:41am Glad I stocked up on bikes and parts for cheap in the past couple years. Truck Fonald Dump and the idiotic sycophants who still support him. This is beyond stupid and if you don't realize that by now, you never will, even as you're struggling to feed your own children.

3/25/2025 9:16am I don't (fully) wrap my own bikes, but I wrap my wife's bikes with ride wrap (no shill here, but NA made and the guys are super nice so I buy from them). I buy some 3m clear protection tape in rolls of 24" x 96" and I cut strips up to protect key areas on my own bikes. I look at it this way... the kind of things that happen to my bikes, the protection won't help. My wife on the other hand, rides very conservatively and has a lot of instances where she just falls over, jumps off...

3/22/2025 5:38pm Fun theory, but I think not. That does look like Ari HQ, plus the hanging banners feature their mission statements, and aside from the GT, those are all Aris/Fezzaris. But, that's a pretty old GT (2019). Could've been one of Joey Foresta's bikes from his early days at Fezzari, before he got his own. Rachel Strait also went from GT...

3/6/2025 8:53am If you haven't already, disassemble your air spring and remove excess grease in the negative chamber. That can cause all kinds of problems.

3/6/2025 8:51am They got acquired by Fox Factory – aka Fox Racing Shox – not Fox the apparel brand. Bike industry companies under the Fox Factory umbrella are Fox (suspension), Marzocchi, Race Face, Easton, Lizard Skins, and Ride Concepts. Fox apparel (aka "Fox Head") is under the umbrella of Revelyst, who also own Bell, Giro, Camelbak, Blackburn, and Quietkat.

3/6/2025 8:03am As I understand the TruTune, what it's doing (at least in part) is reducing what I think is called adiabatic compression. Based solely on some googling, if you compress the air spring really fast, the heat doesn't have time to transfer and the spring ramps up. Alternatively, if you compress is more slowly, it's more linear. I think air springs are referred to as speed-sensitive for this reason. TruTune supposedly reduces adiabatic damping, so theoretically it has more support when compressed slowly but less when compressed very rapidly t, so it doesn't spike at high shaft speeds and you can...

3/5/2025 12:24pm I think it's a bit of a grip2 problem. You're very right that the 38 is heavily damped. I'm a little heavier than you and I run HSC wide open, LSC a couple clicks from open to reduce dive. I can open up the LSC for an improvement in ride quality, but at the cost of support and it still doesn't use full travel. The way I interpret that is the damper could be better, and maybe I'm a candidate for a gripX2, but the spring is also too progressive. With more linearity I should be able to keep the...

3/5/2025 12:20pm I tried a Secus last year on my Zeb and wasn't a huge fan. It massively increased the small bump sensitivity, but I found it diving. When I added enough pressure to counter that, the ramp up at the end was more pronounced than stock. I have 2 Nokens (one on a 160 Zeb and one on a 170 Zeb) and am a big fan of them. I weigh about 25 lbs less than Charlie and don't charge as hard, so I never once bottomed either fork out stock with zero tokens. Adding the Noken to each and I could...

3/4/2025 5:35pm Sick. Feels normal and unremarkable in most places, similar to the stock damper, but it really comes alive in the worst, chunkiest terrain. Review coming soon-ish.

3/4/2025 12:04pm I've been interested in the Noken for my 38 and this review sealed the deal. I almost never get full travel but more importantly, my 38 does not seem to get more plush with reduced pressure past a point. It just wallows more without working any better over small bumps. Thanks 👍
