An eMTB may not do as much damage per compared mile, but more per compared time. Say you have a 1hr long lunch to go for a ride. On your normal ride on a normal bike, you’d do one loop. Now on the eMTB would you be able to fit two laps in during that time? Are people going to ride based off of distance or off of how long they feel like being out regardless of the bike they are on? I’m personally for eMTB use on any motorized trail, and any non motorized trail that the local riding...

I see the comparison with the old impacts, but where does the stiffness of the impact pro sit relative to these two shoes? More or less stiff than the TNT? As a fatty, I really appreciate the stiffness of the impact pros for trail riding, but options are always interesting.

I've had these same pads since April. They fit amazingly well and stay put. One complaint is that they harden in the cold (like 50F and below) and become less comfortable. Riding doesn't really warm/soften them up for me.

This is MUCH bigger than just National Parks. With one fell swoop, e-bikes are likely to be allowed on thousands of miles of BLM trails (but not just yet). And, most importantly, the orders do not come with increased funding to these agencies, so federal managers are expected to do more with the same woefully inadequate budget. Maybe advocacy groups can take up the slack for trails maintenance, but I'm guessing that those folks too are caught flat-footed by this order. And so during the adjustment period (probably indefinite)...

If it's BLM, then that includes a lot of the desert riding in UT, such as Moab and Gooseberry. I'd be fine with it, presuming that congress would increase funding for trails maintenance, but our government agencies continue to be defunded. So we're just going to get more people riding for more miles with an ever decreasing budget, and things...
