You mean in addition to what I wrote in the review? Not sure what else you want to know. It's a nice little unit, the remote. The swivel head thing allows you to align it in exactly the direction you prefer to press the lever, and also modify the angle it presents to your thumb, which sets it apart from many others on the market. It's short and thus provides relatively low leverage, which makes it more suitable for posts that do not require much force to activate. The sole is plenty stiff, good pedaling support. the upper is on the softer side, especially the top of the toebox. there's good protection up front and around the back, less of it right up top. In general the upper is a lot thinner than a freerider pro, if that helps.

I went from Rimpacts to the Tannus Tubeless. Interestingly, the Tannus is more supportive in the corners, but I'm bottoming out on rocks more than I was with Rimpact at the same pressure. Haven't actually flatted yet, but there is audible dinging of aluminum. So, Tannus is more supportive, but less protective among those two options. I think this is due to the winged design, which takes up less air volume. Maybe the tire air spring is less progressive than solid foam setups, and there is less material between rim and rock.

I've definitely experienced cushcore loosening up its bite on the rim over time, whether this is attribute to foam compression from constant pressure or not I can't say. Bottom line, they wear out in 6 months irrespective of riding habits.

So the they cut out the inner section for weight savings, perhaps? Is it possible that under deep compression the holes got covered by the tire or insert, and the inner chamber closes off and is more progressive?

After all the marketing I'm still not sure what is happening in the inner chamber of the insert. NSMB says that it's like Procore where it's higher pressure in there, but then how does it worth if its perforated?

8/5/2020 1:59pm Our land management agencies are broke from a history of defunding and are unable to address deferred maintenance due to costs or understaffing. This policy, even if It does not directly improve trails, will alleviate the critical maintenance funding need, and hopefully free up resources that might now be directed to trails improvement/development.
