We have entered the part of silly season where people float (and debate!) wild speculation that a 42 year old Dan Atherton returns to downhill (last result was 57th at Crankworx in 2018) on a new rubber band bike to chase a $100k podium. Perhaps we need an award for most ridiculous rumor every year. 🤣🤣🤣

Casey Brown off Clif Bar. I find this to be a weird one, as Clif wasn't exactly bike industry, to share the same struggles. Maybe contract was up and not renewed? If so, I wonder why. Casey hasn't been anything but positive for mountainbiking since as long as I can remember. Mx

Dan wouldn’t even be able to qualify for a final. Being a fast rider at your own bike park you ride everyday is completely different from racing world cups.

Rachel Atherton is coming out of retirement for the 100k lol, the bike is being built, and she's probably the most capable between men and women on taking it. Sure it been awhile since she's raced, but I'm guessing she could still be first on race day if she put her mind to it.

Apparently 100% is only going to specialize in eyewear in the future. According to rumours, the sale of helmets, protectors and clothing will be minimized or even discontinued.

Hmmm, looks like the Jewetts are on stealth D4's, I wonder if there is any meaning to that. Giant doesn't have a full-face in their line-up (anymore), but 100% does and they are co-sponsor on goggles and gloves. As a pro, why rock gear from somebody who doesn't look like is giving you money? I mean, 100% is making full-face...

Saw this last night on Martin Whiteley's Instastory. This may be hinting to something. Martin's agency has the HQ in Granada, Spain since forever and he's probably the most connected guy out there, but I am curious what that means, given his current position as Frameworks' team manager last year.
