From what I can gather, almost all D2C and online fulfillment will eventually be consolidated into that massive warehouse in SLC they picked up roughly a year or so ago. Along with many other things like all warranties, wheel/suspension services, and their internal schooling. As for all the well wishes…thank you. I’ve been turning wrenches for almost 20 years, and this is the first time I’ve had the rug pulled out from under me. I’ve already poked my head around locally and pinged some friends and things don’t look horribly bleak, so I got that going for me…which is nice.

We did a variety of things. Direct to rider test rides and sales, service, online order fulfillment, and event support. Basically a hybrid of a regular bike shop and a shipping warehouse.

Tariff Follow Up History: Trump did implement tariffs aimed at specific industries and countries during his last administration. In fact, they specifically targeted bicycle and bicycle accessories from China, in addition to steel, aluminum and other Chinese based goods. I can't find an exact amount (I didn't try that hard) but it appears to have impacted our industry 10-25%. I honestly don't remember any part of my bicycle going up in price. More on this in a second. New Plan: One of the biggest challenges to Trump as a president is distilling what he says from what he does. From...

Well you ideally wouldn't want to be liquid, you would want to have large amounts on inventory purchased pre tariffs to hedge against the price rises. You don't need liquidity post tariff as everything is now expensive and you won't want to buy it. I think we've know for a while people like buying higher quality made in USA/EU etc components and bikes. The reality is though is that these are small companies making very small amounts of frames. USA and the EU will never replace the mass manufactured frames from Asia, nor should they. These aren't nice jobs. Nobody...

Let's see, amateur DH gamer guy at keyboard says pro DH bicycle gal at Hardline is doing it wrong. While both are courageous, only one of them has relevant and meaningful content.

Women with ponytails have been riding bikes for decades and I have literally never heard of that happening Commenting on women's appearance in anyway isn't appropriate so you can file that one under none of your damn business thank you 🙂

Okay, I've been thoroughly educated. I've seen Dan kick it with world cup riders on vlogs etc but I guess they have another gear when they're not filming content.

My 2c between Mtb in wet and mucky Irish conditions and work (a large variety of food manufacturing and packaging equipment) both are equally disastrous to bearings. I’ve often had to replace bearings from machine manufacturers with “mtb spec” 2rs SS repacked so it’s not just bike manufacturers skimping. Slow moving Needle bearings (ntn similar sized to mtb pivots) are...

I just buy Specialized BUTCHer's & black out the ER. They named it after me but are such tight wads, they found a way to cash in without paying me royalties, the cheap bastards.
