There were a couple of clues in the live feed. As Kolb was climbing onto the stage whilst passing the race winning V10, Neko says " Is that his bike or Jacksons?", to which Rik replies "Careful!". In the interview Andi was asked why he was so happy to see Jackson beat Bruni. He gave a very diplomatic answer, which prompted Rik to say something like "He handled that question just as well as he handled his bike today". So I think Kolb to Syndicate is the done deal.

Honestly it looked like Loic had been crying on the gondola ride down. This has to be so hard for him, and an incredibly difficult decision not to drop in. He waited until the last minute because I am certain he really didn’t know if he would or would not drop in. He saw what Jackson did and said to himself, I cannot match that or get close. If you dont feel good and you sit 2nd overall, there is no explaining needed and definitely no need to cruise down. Dude is ultimate Pro and knows the game best to calculate what is worth it or isnt.

He can sit there, as long as Neko mentions that he 'just wasnt taking no for an answer' during his race run.
