4/29/2024 6:04pm That sounds sick! If you can get the stack dimension close to where you want it, going slightly shorter on the headtube can be pretty helpful for a dual crown fork by allowing a wider range of adjustment. My size R3 (XL) Trek Session has a 117mm headtube length, the same 9mm upper / 1mm of lower headset stack, and...

4/29/2024 4:48pm Came here to say the same thing about 130mm+ being a great number to see when looking at a size XL geo chart. Also seems to eliminate a bit of flex from the steertube with less spacers under the stem.

4/29/2024 4:37pm As a tall person, the one headtube standard is for them to be too short. I've never needed less than a 135mm headtube, and even with that I'm often running a healthy dose of spacers under my stem. And if I haven't convinced you yet, taller headtubes tend to be safer because there's more distance between the top and bottom welds on the headtube, meaning less leverage acting on them. You're more likely to see a short headtube ripped off.

4/29/2024 4:34pm I'm 6'4" with a 33" inseam and have had great luck with the TLD Skyline pants in a size 36 to get some extra length. I've got a 34" waist but can cinch them up using the velcro straps on the side without having to worry about them falling down. Also these Ketl pants have been awesome as an everyday/riding...

4/29/2024 4:20pm Chris Canfield has a new company coming, Vampire Bikes. Appears to be a steel front triangle, alloy rear. He said that it will be DH/"super enduro", not unlike the Canfield ONE.2

A big thanks to SRAM/RockShox, Troy Lee Designs, FSA and Maxxis for providing awesome prizes each round! Join or Manage Your Team How to Play Vital Downhill Fantasy The biggest question I'm hearing about this first round is the inability to create a team yet. The first game for Ft. William won't open until the official rider list is in. Until then, you can join the Global League...

4/28/2024 11:04pm That chainstay does look crazy thin. It seems like they're fighting for every bit of traction for Ft. William, looking for more lateral flex.

4/27/2024 8:16pm My guess is the existing super deluxe shock body with a vivid piggyback bolted up. Would be a cool retrofittable feature for existing shocks if that's the only difference.
