If they'd put some tight, rooted 180 degree turns and some long off camber root sections, talent would separate times again instead of wind sheer. World Cup tracks are just ski races on dirt these days. Turns & awkward off camber out of them is where times separate. But I guess we've said no slow spots on DH courses anymore. What I don't understand is they just not film the tight, narrow, switchback technical sections to split times up off screen and show the "zero pedaling" sections on screen.

I get that we wanna act like making the tracks wider & faster to get to hit World Cup bomb holes is what it takes to win a World Cup. But turning regional races into less than 2 minute OHV trails is not ideal. Need tight tech. Bomb holes, zero pedaling and bunny hopping over a root ball at 25mph is losing interest for me.

This is what essentially tore the golf world in half. Do you get paid to show up no matter what or do you get paid to win? The difference is golf pays half the field at least something. Despite Crankworx paying out significantly more than a world cup, or any other MTB event for that matter, no one has beaten Emil in like 4 years. Then Godziek comes on the scene and is essentially a podium lock which leaves the rest of the field competing for one paycheque. Appearance fees are a slippery slope, I could see the podium contenders...

the R accusation is no trivial matter. My brothers roommate had his life ruined over one (he was never charged with anything). On one hand I can see companies just not wanting to deal with any drama at all, too much of a headache, or if they are willing to cut him maybe they are aware of some serious meat to the accusation. I used to be of the opinion "lets not pass judgement until there is a conviction in a court of law" but lately I haven't had much faith in the (US) legal system.
