1/16/2025 1:42pm This. Please everyone just ride it before you speak of drag. Based on what I read in internet forums, I would never buy one. It makes all the sense to me, but all I hear on the internet is "drag" and that you can't shift while pedalling. Then I got to ride one.. I haven't noticed any increase in drag compared to my Demo with half a day of riding on it in the park. I'd say if I don't lube a chain every day, there's more drag in that system, especially when the Saint wears out in 3 months...

11/15/2024 7:48pm Anyone still drunk off the Schwalbe "Radial Revolution" kool-aid? They seem to be more available now. What pressures differences are you running compared to previous tires? I have heard of people going up as much as 10 psi with the same traction/feel as before. Is that legit?

11/10/2024 12:53am I have found the same. After half a dozen rides on the gearbox shifting feels more natural now to me than the derailleur bikes I have. Dumping gears without pedalling is a great positive. The all mechanical aspect was a big selling point for me. I am over charging AXS batteries and want simplicity less things to potentially end my rides. Apparently the smartshift battery needs charging once per year. That would be the holy grail that adaption

11/10/2024 12:46am The Effigear reviews sound pretty good! Would love to demo one. I was definitely worried about having to relearn how to shift with a gearbox, but it took me one lap, and now jumping between my bikes I only see the shortcomings on the derailleur side haha. I think a lot of people underestimate the beauty of not having to do that odd pedal stroke while chain is moving from one cog to another. It feels natural until you try an instant shift. I like that the Effigear doesn't need a battery. While the Smart.Shift works great, it feels a...

10/16/2024 2:23am ^^^ I've never seen this before, but this sure does make a lot of sense to me. Yet another reason I'm pretty positive (USD) dual crown designs make our lives so much easier. You will always get better alignment and everything is designed to square up with 3 minutes and the right wrench.
