They have changed title sponsor before multiple times. This seems to be a bigger shift, as they have posted about the team shitting down. I’d be surprised if they’d do that just for losing 100%.

Honestly though, does this guy want to be a racer, influencer, what is his goal? I feel like he wanted to race and had some decent results then just dropped out of all competition for like two years.

I hope they won't be the only ones allowed to do "behind the race" coverage. I just find their presenters insufferable to watch and they lean into the clickbait way too much for my tastes. I very much enjoyed most of the videos with Ric McLaughlin, can't say so about anything on the GMBN channel.

Why is everyone kicking off about the EDR thing. It’s just the uci code they use for the Enduro World Cup. We don’t go around talking about the DHI do we?

ngl had to unfollow him and Aston because of the whole „this and only this is the best and everything else is garbage“ Can the bike industry do better? Sure, but I don’t want to be bombarded all the time by how shit everything is, I’ve got the normal news for that. also, Genius is up on binkpike. As expected from Scott there are a lot of cables, and everything is internal. Bike mechanics hate this simple trick. https://m.pinkbike.com/photo/23664559/ Good luck routing that without cable channels

For someone who claims the bike industry is nothing but hype and B.S. he sure does a whole lot of hype and over-the-top B.S. hyperbole

Definitely for the dropper, not too fussed about the others being external as long as it's not under the top tube where I want to grab when I lift my bike.

He didn’t win a World Cup in ‘18 & ’19. Only thing he’s won since 2017 is the 2020 Andorra WC and 2021 World champs in Val di Sole.

Comparing aero on mountain bikes and road bikes isn't apples to apples, as was mentioned in the headset cable routing debacle of two months ago. Aero advatage on road is based on consistent speed and mostly consistent wind direction on smooth surfaces. Under about 40km/h the actual wattage gain is extremely small even for a larger tube and while they hit that speed at MSA, the trail conditions can completely negate those gains. That doesn't even take into account line or tire choice. Add in that the cover stresses and de-stresses as the suspension cycles, you wouldn't have a consistent...

I can't find qualifying results, but of the 27 UCI WCDH races that Chris Ball entered (according to Roots and Rain) he finished within the top 30 at 5 of them, his highest placing was 22nd. I wonder, is it thinking about his bank balance that allows him to sleep at night?

I think some of the best coverage of the EWS was the "On Track" series with Curtis Keene from Redbull that they did for a few years. I know it wasn't racing coverage and was produced by RedBull to promote their sponsored athletes primarily. Still, I watched every episode and it gave a real insight into training, traveling, locations, personalities, etc. If they (not sure who "they" is) could create race coverage on pair with the quality of On Track plus supplemental videos with interviews and B-role just like On Track, I think it would create really comprehensive and all-encompassing...

They're currently working on a claws to define exactly what's allowed. In the meantime they'll probably let you use them at a pinch.

Admittedly there wasn’t much live coverage at all, however they did do full course previews and I did watch and enjoy every post event show that they did release, and it did come out pretty fast. Last years GMBN attempt was awful. I watched probably 2 events worth then gave up. The previews were patchy at best and the post event coverage was just boring. I enjoyed the individual riders POV footage from YouTube much more. If DH goes to GMBN then they completely need to get their acts together. As it is they will not do the sport justice...

Unlike dictator Griz who has been watching too much CNN, I feel any aspect of a racer's medical health aught to be made by the racer. I also think it's absolutely ridiculous to mandate such medical requirements when it's neither been proven safe or effective. I'm seeing way too many first hand complications (specifically heart related issues) from young and healthy individuals that statistically would have been fine had they acquired their immunity naturally by contracting COVID. We've turned this into a much larger mess than it needed to be. If you want the vaccine, get the vaccine. If you...
