Fox US Open of MTB Downhill finals are this Sunday, September 24, at Killington. The start time for the Open class finals is TBD, because the amateur classes start racing at 11:15 with Open women and men starting after all other classes are done, and the amount of time it will take for the amateurs depends on how many racers there are. Last year's men's and women's champs (Norton & Hoffmann) are apparently back this year. No live stream, but apparently Vital will have a replay on its Youtube channel after the races are done. 9/20/2023 9:46am I could see these new rules and economic issues resulting in more "barebones" teams popping up. Skip the huge custom-semi, the PT's, the professional chefs, the line scouts, etc. We'll handle the UCI stuff, put up a couple of branded pop-up tents and you figure out the rest.

I have heard that it can because several apps are trying to use the location and also because the refresh rate on phone GPS is not tuned for the types of activities like mountain biking. Similar to the way I use it too (I also pay for it). I keep it fully locked down/private, only let friends follow me and don't allow it to aggregate my data. If you want to get even nerdier the free Elevate add-on app is pretty cool too: https://thomaschampagne.github.io/elevate-docs/

9/15/2023 7:41am I'm guessing this has to do with one thing and one thing only. Tour de France broadcast rights. Everything else was just lumped in to the package. It would be such a win for them to move the broadcasts to Discovery+, sell off the remainder of GCN, and then have the people who bought GCN make content promoting the sport...

The purpose of DH racing isn't to sell dh bikes. It is for general marketing and to sell mid to high level trail and Enduro bikes.

Look at what's just happened with Dylan Maples. Stories like this will become a thing of the past. That is not good for the sport. If ESO want to cut the finals to 30 riders, shouldn't they also be promoting ways for riders to break into that top 30? At the moment from what I can tell there are no proposals for a feeder series, I haven't seen a single thing about who would run it or how it would work.
