Agree, that's how it looks. I'm shocked when USAC or UCI talk about marketability, how to attract sponsors and how to make a show from racing. Racers are the customers and they are not asking to be used to promote private interests they are asking for fair, accessible, and fair racing without distortion of what the sport is supposed to be. I see the narrative of making a private series with few factory team like Supercross or Formula1 but the sport will die in 5 years if we cut the base from the head. On the other hand, I'm stocked...

I finally got a used one just in time for my last mountain bike ride at Vital Ditch Day a few years ago. I wore it without all of the fancy straps and had no issues with comfort or it hitting the back of my helmet.

There was a 10 year study on neck braces that everyone should read - https://www.actionsportsems.com/case-study-neck-brace. I've been wearing one for years. As far as freedom of movement etc - invest the time in setup and also have your brace on when you're trying out helmets to check for interference.

I started wearing one last year after listening to an interview with Dr. Leatt. I had been on the fence before that. The science behind the brace and the reduced chance of a collar bone break make it a no brainer IMO. I race and ride as a hobby and I know its a matter of when I crash not if so I make a point to always wear a good helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, neck brace and spine/chest protector. I want to be injury free so I can keep biking. When I started wearing the brace I made...

Didn't we go through all this about 15 years ago with Dylan Dean and the formation of the Pro GRT? Pro GRT, Maxxis Eastern States Cup, NW Cup, Downhill Southeast, Downhill Rockies, US Open, etc. The pieces are all there, they just need to be unified and organized. I think the biggest problem is right there in the title....USAC. They are the only connection to the even bigger *hit show that is the UCI. What really needs to happen is for Crankworx to become the new premier global DH racing promoter, then the UCI and WC racing as it is...

The only thing that I can think of is Sam's build videos on his YouTube channel. Are they concerned that he's making too much off of those? Frankly, I'm often disappointed with the coverage of other Fest Series events. They show up out of nowhere, give a lackluster amount of coverage and then are gone.

Thanks for the feedback team. One point which might not have been crystal clear in my article. If you cant get the points, you enter via the national jersey. Then travel to your first world cup and if all the stars align and you qualify for finals. Then, in my opinion you have the speed, the talent and you've proved yourself. So you should be able to enter yourself into the following race. Giving 50th place 10 points is bullshit as its those points which dictate whether they race the next race, not their skill and not the fact that...

We think alike, Eddie! The ESC dumped UCI and USAC and banned tearoffs long ago. Then attendance exploded.

That was a good listen! I am a bit surprised to hear so many people automatically equate "flow" with "easy". When I think of flow, I think of A-Line and Dirt Merchant in Whistler - wide enough to drive a truck down, lots of berms, lots of tables, but in no way shape or form could they be considered "beginner". Also at WBP is Angry Pirate, listed as a tech trail, but with loads of flow, despite its relatively narrow width and an assortment of roots and rocks. I'd also consider Moab's Captain Ahab and Squamish's Rupert as flow trails...
