Most the slope guys dont actually make that much. I did Pretty good for 15 years. Id average probably 65K USD all said and done over those 15 years. Less when I started and the bigger years in the middle. That is sponsorships and winnings and any travel budgets. BUT I would spend at least 30k of that on traveling and expenses. So that 3k a month before taxes...

I wonder if Gwin’s plan is to focus on domestic racing, secure a spot on the world champs team, and only race world champs as far as international stuff goes? He’s got a lot going on, money’s hard to come by, and worlds is the only thing missing from his resume.

I prefer modern sizing with full suspension bikes and older geo numbers with hard tails. Hardtails I tend to ride over/behind the back wheel when descending while full suspension bikes I ride pretty centered.

Some riders adapt to a bike more than wanting the bike to adapt to them. They seem to get focused more on changing the bike as they get older (more experience of what they want). Younger guys are happy to have support and just push through. I think some riders over think it and some riding styles don't mesh with certain designs/suspension kinematics. I really believe that there isn't any "bad" bike on the W.C. circuit, just some more suited based on riding style. "Find your perfect match"

Um, have you not been paying attention? Yeti built a new DH bike for Richie last year because he said he wanted to do some DH racing. Like a fully finished carbon DH bike ready for production.

I'm pretty sure the workshop BK opened was in Wales where he now lives judging off his latest LSD. He said he flew back to get the keys for it.
