9/12/2020 9:59am When did it become normal to actually wash (w/ soap) ones bike? This seems so unnecessary.

erikkellison Added a comment about press release Gulo Composites Unleashes a New Spin on the Wheel
8/20/2020 7:29am <1500g for an Enduro-ready wheelset? This is impressive. Would love to hear more about rim construction and hub specs. Looks very promising.

erikkellison Added a comment about press release Yeti's Very Limited Edition 35th Anniversary ARC
8/3/2020 1:01pm Looks like the anonymous SRAM Collective got together to downvote me. Nobody building a custom bike with choice of any component is putting those SRAM parts on it. Hope, Trickstuff... about a million other cranks, and ceramic King or Enduro would all be better. But wouldn’t make Yeti as much, or the bike would be even more overpriced!

erikkellison Added a comment about feature How Often Do You Wear Goggles?
7/31/2020 9:37pm I will believe it (fog-free) when I see it. I guarantee I fog goggles more than 99.9% of riders. I hate it, but it’s reality, and sucks in wet PNW riding, when I need goggles most. Tell ya what - send me a pair and I’ll test them. I would love to find a pair that I can actually race enduro in! If they really don’t fog, I will write or record a review and you can publish the crap out of that. My endorsement would be significant for all the sweaty, overheating riders out there who have given up...

7/2/2020 7:36am If Moab said this wouldn't think twice, if Whistler said this wouldn't think twice, if Washington State said this probably wouldn't think twice. Bentonville, Arkansas ha that is hysterical.

7/2/2020 7:36am no doubt the trails there look extremely fun and access to/from town is handy. everyone we've talked to says the place is a blast to ride. capital of the world though? IMO, there's no place that could or should be able to claim such a title. the city and trails look like they have great mass-market appeal, which is good for the sport. like mentioned above (in so many words by studbeefpile), the element of adventure or wilderness, that many consider the essence of mountain biking, is not on par with big mountain destinations. while i'm not a super adventure...

7/2/2020 7:36am I've never considered Arkansas as a mountain bike destination, but rather as a Smallmouth Bass fishing one. Maybe the trails there have international appeal, but I'm not convinced. Maybe a the vitalmtb crew should go there and review the areas trails?

7/2/2020 7:35am HAHAHAHA, It is July 1st not April 1st right ? No way Arkansas is capital of the World, let alone continent, let alone country....maybe their state.

FilipK Liked a product review Michelin Rock´R2 Enduro Gum-X and Magi-X
6/1/2020 7:16am
Intro Michelins RockR2 thread pattern have been around for while now, but recent DH tire development and gradual renaming / rearranging of their lineup suggest thing are not laying still. When it comes to tyre choice, their naming convention is somehow even more chaotic that most competitors. After choosing desired thread (RockR2), go for the appropriate casing bracket (XC, AM, Enduro) and finish off with compound In this case front specific Magi-X and unlabelled/universal Gum-X for the rear makes it easy. In some of their other tyres however, there is different rear thread, choice of 2 compounds for front, or...

5/23/2020 10:01am Who downvotes this?? That’s some strong anti-Twenty6 sentiment for a non-controversial comment. Seems like someone’s jealous/butthurt. I too am sad that he is all but out of the game.

5/23/2020 9:58am Cost is relative to durability. If you replace a $100 pedal every season then $300 pedals that last 5 seasons are a deal! Nice work though.

5/23/2020 9:58am I am with you on Twenty6!! My favorite too. Tyler is an amazing guy and I love the grip on them. The bonus is getting them custom engraved for the win!

5/23/2020 9:52am If you’re lucky, you might be able to get a set. They are hands-down the best pedals I’ve ever ridden, and I’ve ridden a lot. Yes they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. That, and I’d rather support a small domestic mfg than send more jobs overseas. I don’t see any American companies proudly advertising that they’re outsourcing mfg (jobs) to Taiwan.

5/23/2020 9:48am I call bullshit, you include Crank Brothers flats and yet don't include Twenty6? So you don't care for American manufacturing then? They are milled and made in Montana. Tyler's Predators are hands down the very finest, grippiest flats on the planet.
