Is the WP Cone not just a larger poppet valve? Spool valve would have a sliding surface across opening to seal it. Spool spool movement is not affected by the fluid flow and pressure. The cone is going to be affected by flow and pressure.

I built a bike with this same pull link back in 2018. The link under the BB takes a beating. Mine acted like a skid plate slider. I will have to take some pics.

A full Honda factory team again would be cool. Showa suspension and Akebono brakes. Being that they've been there done that for DH....an E-EDR team would be something for them. I could see them selling the concept of development of an ebike drive unit to go racing with to top management. An e-cvt gearbox ebike.

The carbon Fluid slots into replace the Optic. But don't worry if you love the current Optic and just want another one of them I'd guess they have stock of them to keep on selling. Everyone has overstock to sell.

Regarding Whistler and WC DH, regardless of how big Crankworx is they need to jump through all the UCI hoops to even apply for a WC level event. This includes hosting regional, provincial, and national level UCI sanctioned events. WBP has been ticking off these boxes over the last number of years. In June they did a Canada Cup XC...
So run an Ohlins? Their 3 chamber air allows you to adjust the end stroke ramp. Not getting full travel? Back off the end stroke ramp air pressure. Need more bottom out support? Add air. They have a three click HCS system that doesn't use spring pre-load on the shim stack (they use an oval shim). Do you like very...

The pictures of the bike without the data acquisition on it don't have that grey wire. Pull up shots of the old frame with the data system on it and you can see the wire going to a sensor in the rear brake mount adapter.

The text with the image. "Proto V48 getting some trail time under our engineer Dan, who might not actually be an engineer because he never starts sentences with "As an engineer....". Standard eyelet and trunnion mount on the same reservoir bridge for testing. This is one part that will change significantly for production, to remove the redundant mounts, save weight...

Going down the rabbit hole ofwild speculations: re-using (big IF) may still not offset the impact of producing it (I guess regular tape does not require much energy to make?). BTW, I like the idea of just having poles to mark the track , as it will be way easier to get off track during practice. However, the pads are there just for looks and might indeed prove dangerous if used as a track markers due to them being at pedal-strike height (they are also soft-ish, so they can grab the pedal).
