9/16/2024 3:26pm So many drama queens. The sky is falling. I think the changes will be good in the long run. Maybe it's because I have been a fan since before the Freecaster/ RedBull days. I think the GCN app was good as it bundled all cycling racing into a single source and I didn't mind paying for it.

9/8/2024 1:54pm On my current build I have used a set of plates to tie the bb/main pivot/shock mount all together with the downtube. So far it has worked well. The plates are probably a touch on the thin side, I had Send Cut Send do them and they have limited options in 4130.

8/30/2024 8:55pm Get a campervan/rv and do a full road trip. Rent in Calgary. Golden - Revy - Silver Star - Big White - Sun Peaks - Whistler. Do that in the month of September and pray we have some late summer moisture and you will get near empty lifts and hero dirt with trail crews having done their post summer maintenance.

8/27/2024 12:13pm Regarding flex stays... it's the travel, geo, and designed kinematics not the extra pivot that matters. I have build a 160mm travel frame that relies on the seatstays to flex for two pivot locations the suspension feel is in line with other frames I have built that use multiple bearings for pivots.

8/27/2024 10:31am Build up a lightweight Stumpy15 with full XC tires and wheels. Shred that. Unless you are trying to win a regional xc race or break your DH trail PR a bike like the Stumpy with ridiculously light wheels and tires is going to be quickest.

8/22/2024 10:04am Has there been a "total system weight" for the ZF drive unit? The unit itself is light...but it requires the aluminum lower shell to clamp it to the frame and act as a heatsink. So that needs to be included in any weight comparison.

I have been running a single STFU style chain slap device and feel it makes a difference. There are files of a cloned version on Printable to 3d print your own, I have printed a couple of them with TPU. Also missing on your list is the Tairin Wheels clutch hubs, these fully disengage the pawls for a free floating effect and have 5.5 degree of engagement.
