It's not a proprietary motor. It's a Gobao P120. Limited number of brands using it but it's not just an Aventon motor. It uses Shimano bolt pattern and apparently their batteries will fit same space as some Shimano. Could be a path of people that like their frame with a crapped out Shimano motor that are looking to update. Alutech...

Motor is a Gobao 120. A few different brands have their own white label versions of it. Each one likely has their own software tune on it. I think these share the same mount pattern as a Shimano. I think the Gobao is more refined torque sensor set up compared to the current Bafang M510 but they have a new...

Or the Straight of Hormuz stays closed down for 9 months and there is a bike boom as people get frustrated with paying a fortune for gas. OEM's wish they didn't cut back and leave a huge chunk of demand on the table.
You gotta play the game...drop some hints. We can play yes or no. Is it a sub 50lbs dh ebike with 150nm of torque and a solid state 1500wh battery? New solid state ebike batteries that charge in 5 minutes AND Rocky is installing ebike fast charging stations at the Dumpsters?

Pretty sure I trust that Ian and the crew at Chromag don't have it backwards. They wouldn't price the bead blasted black stem cheaper than the polished coloured stems if they were not getting it cheaper from the supplier. It would seem odd also for a stem manufacture in Taiwan to not know their input costs per unit for different...

One is bead blasted then anodized the other one is polished when anodized. The bead blast is going to be a much cheaper and more forgiving process. Quality polish is going to be hand work. This a price difference.

Could probably do it in steel. Robotic laser weld all the joints and smart use of a bunch of flat plate. BMX style flat plate dropouts and key points on the rear end. No heat treatment step needed so cuts out a big step. Could do it in stainless steel and cut out paint. Factory direct from Taiwan with no...

The Bafang M510 is rated at 790w and 110nm. There is a custom driver board for it that replaces the stock one, the guy that designed it has been running 3000w at 60v through it. So over 3.5x power increase. He's destroyed one of the roller clutch bearings in it so it's not all happy. Hot rod options are out...

Currently on 460 stays, 470 reach and 63 ha. Going to dial back the reach to a 460 and steepen the HA to 64. Found my max wb on a enduro bike and want to shorten it up a touch.

More or less the same (upgrade on the cheekbone instead of the arm), except that over here we're not complete asses to people with a different government setup neither are we jealous of them...

No dates yet...but lots of local talk of it being at Cypress. So dig around for North Van accommodations.

Ideal one bike to do it all is an efficient 160f/150r with reasonable parts spec and a few sets of tires, or two wheelsets. No high pivot as it won't pump and play was well on the tame trails. Used shocks are cheap, keep an inline air shock on hand to swap in with XC tires if you have an...
