3/18/2021 6:27am I'm curious where you found the COVID testing data for all the attendees to Windrock for the past year. I can't find it, so please submit it to the UCI so that we can resume a normal schedule and allow spectators attend races like Fort William. I'm certain that if the data is robust enough, you will be able to prove that outdoor races are safe to attend.

@bizutch, I think you are missing a core concept. Having 600+ riders cycle through a service area is a different risk profile than supporting a few select athletes. There is also a tone of entitlement in your post. Companies don't owe you anything just because you show up for a race.

Something I’ve always wondered about with respect to air shocks is how PV=nRT affects the movement of the shock shaft. Since air takes time to change temperature I would assume an air shock would resist large shock shaft impulse speeds. Perhaps it’s negligible, but I’d like someone to explain it to me.

Peer review doesn’t mean anything. Who are the peers, bike companies or those with a vested interest in e-bikes? What did the peers say, peers can review a flawed study? What was studied, how was data collected or is this a subjective study? If so not very useful. If objective study, how many samples were taken and what is the confidence value of the results. Finally does the data align with the claim?

2/15/2021 4:51am This. I enjoy pretty bike pictures but like to talk about bikes more. Seeing someone who is obviously racking up the miles tells me that the owner knows what they do/don't like about certain parts. I've got a V3 Bronson with the same rear triangle wear. I'm wondering if anybody can provide suggestions. I've done the 3M clear tape, but I wear through it in a couple weeks. I've relegated to just wrapping it with electrical tape because its easier to replace when worn. If anybody has suggestions let me know. I'd rather not wear a hole into my rear...

2/15/2021 4:48am This build is so much cooler than all these AXS $11k builds. Didn't just fit the most expensive parts money can buy, actually made it fit your needs. Nice.

2/11/2021 4:55am I think it's safe to say some of these racers share very similar worldviews. Birds of a feather and all that. And, to be fair, when you've been staring at a set of handlebars for the majority of your life, you may not appreciate the intricacies of political or societal change. That's not meant to be unkind, but only to suggest that expanding one's worldview takes effort, much like riding a bicycle down a hill quickly.

Indeed, it's probably reasonable to say this is their workplace and they definitely can't work from home (unless they have some backyard trails). I do think that there might be some people watch this and think 'if they can ride in a group why can't we'

I didn't say they were breaking lockdown rules, I said it appears that way. I was asking a question on how people viewed this and if they should be 'setting an example' or not, I was not making a judgement. Though I would point out that an Instagram post from Steve Peat makes it appear likely that filming took place five days ago. Some might argue this is their 'workplace' and they can't work from home. Interested to see what people think.

Sorry that you think the question is dumb. Maybe I can attempt to ask it in a more articulate way and hopefully get a more constructive response. Some pro riders on YouTube have gone to great effort to demonstrate their strict adherence to lockdown rules (possibly helping reinforce the rules), whereas this video takes a different approach and provides a momentary escape from lockdown. Considering that both ways could be well within the rules; which do you think is the best message to viewers?

It might appear to the casual observer that they are violating the lockdown rules in place in the UK currently. Should we (and sponsors) expect pro riders to set an example on such things or does no-one care if they break the rules to get some sweet footage?

1/24/2021 4:27am It's really only Shimano with an eThirteen cassette. The shifter is XTR instead of XT because there were no more XTs in stock and I had an XTR laying around. I chose the eThirteen cassette for more range at less weight and half the cost of an XT/XTR cassette. So far so good on the two test rides as far as shifting performance 🤘

1/2/2021 4:10am Allways out, every year. Straight lining tech twisty trails for KOM's an PB's (or just poor bike handling). It's just the culprits that change yearly. XC heads then 29ers then mobilE bikes now gravel snobs

12/2/2020 4:20pm Second! I know it’s area dependent but a max terra grip tire will last up to a month under heavy use. Dry climates the compound is not very important for a rear, imo. I got a dual compound dhf(dh casing) and it’s been amazing for a rear. I believe they just discontinued this tire unfortunately.
