This makes me happy for all those mid-to-low-range mountain bikes! This range now has good suspension, good brakes, good wheels, good droppers and a good drivetrain. I hope the price of bikes are low to spread the fun.

I don’t. One just has to tuck the tire bead to the center and it tends to go well. New double casing tires or downhill tires benefit from riding without Cush core a couple times to soften them up though. Also sitting the tires in the sun to soften them up is also helpful.

I've had two steel hardtail (Transition Trans Am's) and one Aluminum (Ragley Marley). I have never noticed a difference in compliancy. What I do notice and what makes a hardtail more fun these days are: -The better tires we have available. Stronger casings, more volume. -Better forks at an affordable level. A fork that can't stay up in its travel...

Since in your own words "I want to go farther than I usually do in the short time I have to ride"; does it not make sense that you impacting the trails more by riding longer distances?

I’ve watched this at least once a day since it came out. I’ll never be as rad as kirt and I’m probably 10 years younger, but watching his videos make me want to be as rad as I can be.
