Thank you! It seems as if most folks want their ebike to do all the work. I just want a little bit of help. I already ride my Hightower on my local loops at about 6.5 mph for an average ride- 1200ft climbing over 8-9 miles. I really just want to be a couple mphs faster and maybe even do a second loop. I don’t want to lose that feel of an analog bike. Vala vs mte vs fuel + is where I’m at Yes, lose weight, I know. I’ve cut 60#s since last September and slowly slimming down with...
I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE
Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...
Got any audio of the sound? I've bought a wheel before that sounded like it was burrowing into my brain. Last generation E13 DH is neurologically damaging...
I don't understand the mullet only option on a lot a frames these days. I have a Fury (thank you Ryan. I love it!) that I much prefer as a full 29". I'm 6'2" so not crazy tall. I'm probably in the minority here, but would love to see a flip chip to give you the option to run it either way. Not a dig at Frameworks in particular. the TR11 and Commencal Supreme are two that come to mind off the top of my head as well.
CAN WE PLEASE STOP WITH THE RELATIONSHIP STUFF? this is a dead horse that is now pulp. (not saying i agree with it). PLEASE KEEP IT OUT OF TEAM RUMORS AT THIS POINT Go make another thread if this is that big of a deal for you guys
That doesn't solve the problem since every frame size has the same preset options for chainstay lengths of 435mm vs 444 mm. Specialized isn't preserving the front-center to rear-center ratio through the frame sizes, e.g. selecting 444mm on an S1 is a completely different bike than selecting 444mm on an S6...
For all the marketing leading up to this, it’s actually just a pretty bland bike with a bit more power and battery. Specialized likes to talk about how innovative they are, but if this is their big release nothing about it really stands out at all.
