Warner won't be unemployed. He's already said he is working with Red Bull next year, my guess is he is on a contract with them for X number of years. He does other commentary work apart from DH and XC like X-fighters

A few big names don’t even qualify in the top 30 as is.. at this rate they’ll need to consider bringing back 4x to give the rest of the riders something to do. £20k on top of what the teams already pay, the cost of accommodation and travel…. They’ll be a few heads on the chopping board come the end of the season.

Was anyone else impressed with Fort Bill last week and just how many riders were vocal about concussion related injuries that led them to not compete? That's a bug step forward in our sport

if you drop it to 30 riders you cant have protected riders IMO. imagine this, your a young Aussie/Kiwi, you save up hard for 2 years to live the dream in a Ford Transit van and eating nothing but Service station food and drinking cheap Czech beer for 4 months of summer. Your bike has cracks in the bottom bracket junction, the tyres are bald, your derailleur is making some fucked up noises, but you picture that young Sam Hill, Nathan Rennie or Masters brothers and think "I can do that too" suddenly, your chance of qualifying halves, you have...

They will- 1.Up the min UCI points to race at WC events. 2.Only allow UCi registered trade teams. 3.Stop national governing bodies getting wildcard entrants. 4.Slash number of qualifying riders. 5.Award races to the highest bidder regardless of the suitability of the venue (especially seeing as they want multi discipline venues to save money) This will be justified by saying "that WC represents the highest pinnacle of the sport, catering for the best athletes and these changes will allow us to present the best racing we have ever seen.....So shut up peasants, we own it now,so stop whinging or fuck...

UCI demanding more money than ever while giving less information than ever and possibly cutting riders to 30 which makes paying riders to be on teams more iffy than ever. UCI fucks about and throw's the teams/riders/fans to the sharks for a quick buck leaving us to discovery the finding out part. I strongly suspect this will be my last year of bothering to watch world cups.

The UCI does not give a rats about "growing the sport" the be all and end all of the UCI modus operandi is to achieve and retain total control over all cycling no matter what. Frankly it is an ethically corrupt, morally bankrupt organization on one hell of a power trip!
