Most of the pro riders aren't riding. World Champs in 2 weeks and the rest of the World Cup season is their focus.

It was the net, not the tape. You can see he's well BELOW the tape (and upside down) here, then his bike fell against the tape and pushed it down towards him, but it was still against his back/above him.

Spectator's race summary from Val di Sole: Good - Insane race, and the venue was electric from Brosnan's run till the afterparty died sometime around 4am. - Course-taping was great to keep the track safer and more interesting. VDS is an A+ venue to watch lines most of us can only dream about (ex tripling into a steep braking zone), so many interesting sections to check out and see how the riders could make the most awkward looking section fast as F$#%. Can't believe some of the hits that people's wheels survived. 10/10 recommend going if you're within 6hrs drive...

Would have thought so, but RB TV has been using them for a couple of seasons now so it must be fine. I would find a crowd full of chainsaws off putting. Assume when the riders are in the flow all they are focused on is the trail.

Can't believe so many people had a negative reaction to your post. You stated the facts. Everyone hates Captain Obvious when he doesn't fit their argument. You point out that yes there is a doctor on site. You point out the infinite number of obstacles. The bush is a perfect example of how impossible "reducing hazards" is impossible. Witnessed a 24hr MTB race participant 500 yards from a finish line fall over & puncture his lung & have to be heli-vaced. He fell over and inside a bush a limb had been trimmed. Normal lawn maintenance item on a shrub...

Play by play commentary was needed for the radio as there was no vison to watch. Rob Warner openly said in his Vital Podcast that he tried to commentate this way in the Freecaster days and Red Bull sent him to commentary school to learn how to let the vision do the talking, leave gaps in the commentary and create...

Im a huge fan of the sport and all but damn I feel like a ton of riders are complaining about everything constantly. Complaining about the tracks about the format, even some riders openly complaining about their bikes. I get that they have reasons for complaining especially with all the new changes but damn it gets kind of tiring as a fan watching. They supposedly have this riders union, they need to organize and use that union to try to make some changes. I dont think slight digs on every interview and instagram post is going to help much to...

Sounds like Amaury is looking for someone to blame, make up some lies and not take responsibility for his own actions. As other mentioned he raced with a concussion just to win the world cup overall in previous seasons. " could have been avoid with a clean B zone maybe?" When has the B zone ever been clean? Same track...

I get where he is coming from but what if said stump was 5 or 10m away and he just so happened to fly through the air that fair and so the same thing, the sport is dangerous thats for sure but there are so many issues you could look at and then we would start seeing races on smooth open roads which also are a danger as tracks like that get to fast so whats the future flat smooth wide open tracks with shicains in them to bring the speed down ? On another note talking about safety didn't...

The release says why there is no world cup in the near future. Nothing to do with eso/discovery and everything to do with the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships taking place in Valais and, like every World Cup organiser, the organisers in Valais have the privilege of holding a World Cup as a "main rehearsal" the year before 2024. Lenzerheide...

Fellow 1st year Elite Jordan Williams was on a heater 1.7 seconds up at the 3rd split but must have crashed as his 1.48 min back at the 4th split. Jordan also won qualifications by over 5 seconds.

2 out of 3! Thanks, Mister Chris Balls! now I realize I have no idea how many cameras Red Bull had, if 20 is a lot or not...does that include each drone? The cameras in the booth? Slo-mo finish line camera? And what about that one weirdo who always insisted on filming a tire and then spinning as he zoomed out?--please tell me he's been blacklisted. The commentary team seems absolutely fine, I will admit. No idea how CG is at that job, but he's definitely still a loose unit, will absolutely make some rad faux pas in the booth...
