9/29/2025 9:52am I think you are correct that it’s not the hardware, it’s the processing of the data and the software that is the big issue. There are some teams working on their own software and maybe a few independent developers working on something that maybe we could use in the future? Seems like at @downamics has been cooking up something.

Goat Skull is on the flatter side for a DH race course. I could picture Richie's pedal and pumping power being a weapon on this track. Either way I'm stoked for both of them.

I don't think the anti rise will be the same as the old bike as they have essentially inverted the whole linkage, so the brake is on a different "bar" now, it probably won't be different in a way that matters or is perceptible to us mere mortals. I think when I tried to recreate it in linkage, the main big difference was that it lowered the initial leverage rate, which is something a lighter rider like Loris would probably benefit from.

9/16/2025 3:19pm I wonder if you have correct spring rate and clicker settings. Those 2 options can dramatically change the feel of the bike. Not saying that all high pivot have a magic carpet feel, but maybe there is a set up issue that is off. Everything plays together, leverage spring and damping setting.

Excellent review as usual. I particularly found the link between dynamic bar height and anti-rise to be a great talking point. I never thought of lower anti-rise working very well with deliberately higher bars/stack and lower BB. Makes perfect sense but I never visualized it until Ryan brought it up. If only frameworks made a size small
