Nothing beats a DH bike, I finally got one after 10 years of not having a DH bike and you just cant replicate the feel. Granted the DH bikes are leaps and bounds over what they were in 2000-2010, it's just too much fun!

He has said before that he cant just jump between bikes like Finn, he needs time to get used to it so it makes no sense to do in the middle of the season. So I guess the testing for 2023 has begun

Awesome thanks everyone! We've ridden Trestle a bunch too so it sounds like Killington and Thunder will do us really well for this trip. Maybe we'll take a trip to Highland before the season ends since it's 7 hours away, the other ones are a bit closer.

9/7/2022 11:47am I grew up riding on the East Coast. Every-time I come back I ride 1 day at Mtn Creek (because it's close to my parents). But then I go straight to Thunder Mtn and Killington. Never rode Highland, just because it's a bit farther out of the way. But obviously is has crazy good reviews. Thunder blew my mind, amazing...

New Levo SL confirmed. approx 55Nm. Dunno about battery size. 1 source said mullet, the other both mullet and 29. Not even Specialized employees know for sure or they just have no clue. IDK

8/22/2022 7:39am There’s a podcast with Greg Minar and he talks about the bike. He was saying the forks would still be up to par today. Some cool technology like a rear shock that locked out on a timer then would go plush again after 10 seconds. I’d love to test one!

Yes that makes sense, but I would say that Shimano are way more "wooden". "Hardwooden". hahahah. Well all of these media reviews pushed me over the edge to try the Hope E4. I hope they are worth it!

I know the "wooden" description sounds strange, but I recently experienced it with a pair of SRAM guides, and its hard to deny that it is exactly the right description. basically its like hitting two pieces of wood together, the initial impact feels solid but thereafter there is no modulation, its almost like a dead stop, with no additional power hereafter whether you squeeze harder or not.

Thank you for the review and these notes. How would you describe the feel of “wooden”? Ive ridden, TRP, Sram, Shimano and Magura. But your modulation description of the Hope4’s really interests me!
