Shimano released a new SPD cleat today. Compared to the 30-year-old SH51 cleats, the new CL-MT0001 cleats feature an additional ramp at the back of the cleat, which Shimano claims improves walkability and functionality—enabling back-to-front and top-down clipping in addition to the traditional front-to-back motion. I've received emails from most component suppliers that they've raised prices 10-15%. Others who didn't send notices seem to have raised prices quietly. New product launches and updates are often price increases in disguise. He is now 35 so he is not going to be picked up for WC DH anymore unfortunately. And that has to be hard pill to swallow knowing what he had on his hands at some point. The chances to exit like Greg, Peaty, or Gracia are extremely slim and for sure that attitude mentioned above doesn’t help.

No hate. Really want to see the guy do well again. The evidence is there so people can go and listen, then make up their own minds. I appreciate the honesty from him and other riders in the scene. The difference between Greg, Gwin (who have also been vocal at times re equipment issues) and Brook, to me, is not only what they said and how they said it, but the attitudes underpinning the comments.
