brash Added a reply to How Much Reach is Too Much Reach?

Thread revival, still relevant. 2 years on from the last post, do we still think the same? Have we jumped on board with the modern geo train? I rolled the dice pretty hard on my next bike, For reference, I'm 6'1 (185cm, 100kg/225lb) I don't think the reach is my worry, it's the 1336mm wheelbase lol. I've done the modern...

Totally spitballing here, but Luca to Norco? They need another rider to get some top 10's. There were a few times no Norco riders were in the top 60 finals day this year. Blenki is still the man in my eyes but didn't have his best season this year unfortunately, It would be great to see a stacked roster next...

Could it be that he's not feeling pedal kickback, but brake jack from a single pivot, that then extends/stiffens the rear, which is felt harshly through the feet? Quick test is to do a chainless and normal run.

brash Added a comment about video 100 Miles in Moab on Flat Pedals With Vans

original
A buddy of mine recently rode from perth to sydney, 4000km in less than 28 days on flat pedals, averaging 100miles every ride day. I had to laugh that they think this is a worlds first, literally every person who has bike packed or toured has done this feat on flats, probaly in birkenstocks too.

That's aimed at Cannondale, not Intense. He had signed up to race DH for them in 2020 and they cancelled the program and pulled the rug out from under him after all the other opportunities had dried up. Wynn Masters got him a meeting with Barel and he made the switch to Enduro. He's definitely made a few comments about the equipment changes on the last year on Intense though. I read that as "kenda tyres suck", but I think it also made it hard for him that everything else changed too. Suspension, brakes and drivetrain. I don't think he...

Far be it from me to know the ins and outs of it all let alone someone's head, but there was a definite team chemistry in the original IFR guys. They were having a good time and doing well. It seems Jack had another year so they kept him around when Gwin took over, maybe Gwin wasn't that stoked to have to take him or maybe Jack wasn't that he'd lost his mates and vibe he was enjoying... or both? Or maybe pressure to perform to keep his spot? Not so easy when you don't want to be where you...

He basically took Trek along with him to Miranda. I don't think you'd have to dig too far to find that Trek was probably pretty heavily involved with finding him that spot and making that deal happen. This is the shitty thing about rumours too. Jackson is one hell of a marketable guy, with huge social media presence and skills in two sides of our sport. He should be getting paid! He's also, what...16? 17? I would hope that his Dad is helping him out with major decisions! It sucks that turns into "buddy is asking for too much and...

I think that was in relation to a certain team who dissapeared off the planet, Not naming any names but the one with 2 shocks Smile From what I understand, that was a done deal and they pulled the rug out on him so to speak. That left Jack high and dry without a ride coming into the season. Thankfully...

Conversely, Jack Moir had arguably one of his worst seasons when Intense went to fox. Or maybe it was the Kenda "tyres" These guys are so in tune with their setup, any deviation (be it good or bad) can have an impact.

Nothing ever seems to be Zinks fault, even when it's something that he does all on his own. I'm more curious about the sponsors that have stuck with him for such a long time. If I'm a bike company, why would I want to sponsor the guy that has done several questionable things on social media, and seems to pretty openly talk shit about past sponsors?

yep, been playing around with AXS mech on 12 speed shimano ecosystem, works almost flawlessly. Not as good as a full SRAM setup, but still very good.

I had to laugh when Zink is going on about Geometry, kinematics, starts ripping on Gwin and how he's building custom frames in Taiwan etc etc (ok mate whatever) 15 seconds later, the presenter asks him about his rear shock and he doesn't know how much pressure is in it or clickers etc, "but it has a custom tune...."
