Please, please, please Diamond Back bring back a *slightly* updated version of the alloy OG 29” Mason HT. That bike was pure good times - oh so snappy and playful on the trail. It ranks in my top 5 bikes I’ve owned and above many that cost way more to buy. I loved that bike and rode it long into the sunset. The current B+ Masons are/were a total miss…..and the Carbon Sync’r is just a head-scratcher. Everything else left in the category is just DSG/AMZ spec.

I still have mine and ride it just as much as any of my other bikes - timeless geo and so much fun

Didn't know about that one, but the writing is on the wall. Like I said, the old Lyrik went up to 180 mm. The MY23 doesn't offer that. I wouldn't be surprised if a bigger update to the 36 also cuts the 170 mm option as the 36 is now specced on 140 and 150 mm bikes (just like the Lyrik). I mean... Back in 2015 I was riding a 160 mm Pike. And what is the maximum travel of a Pike these days?

Maybe the most absurd thing I've ever seen. I'm not against small batch, boutique parts, but anyone spending that money on something so frivilous needs to be audited and forced into buying food for the needy or something.

Can attest to Wolftooth making quality chainrings, 2 seasons on one with minimal wear so far. Camo bash looks pretty slick imo, might have to spring for it

I would friggin love a fully auto seatpost! I get myself caught out a bunch having to sit back down at the top of steep techy climbs, just before they drop back in. It would make me want to buy a $1000 AXS post if it had the option to to do both automagically

Curious if that is the Epic or a totally new model. Only reason I think it might be a completely new model is that I'm not sure if that new frame/suspension design would translate to the Epic Evo. I could see Spesh making this a strictly "XC race" frame and making the Epic/Epic Evo a dedicated "Downcountry" platform.

:: Places tin foil hat on head:: I wonder if some of the brands releasing DH bikes that haven't had them in their catalogs for the last few years have some insider info on the whole Discovery/UCI Mountain bike World Series. Perhaps brands have received credible information that Discovery and/or the UCI are going to make a really big push over the next few years to increase coverage and reach of live mountain bike racing, so the brands are setting themselves up to have products developed for the hopeful increase in exposure and sales. I hate to always compare Mountain...

Not sure about your reliability comment.. I've never had a problem in 10+ years using them. What would be nice is some innovation, think they got too comfortable. My next tyres will be conti as I'm well and truly sucked in by the marketing & reviews!
