They went around the first jump because one of the governing bodies (UCI??) changed the tape to allow the squeeze on the inside of the jump... Also, there was a left right combo coming out of the woods to the wooden feature that could be used to control ... more »

In races past, they have taped a bit of a chicane to exit the woods to control speed...I wouldn't worry too much.

Didn't Loris say something in another article that he felt slow on the bike but the clock said otherwise? I wonder why he would time it but Greg wouldn't? Must be purely a confidence thing for Greg.
