Tapered steerer to show that it’s a direct 1:1 replacement for a zeb or 38 whatever. I think a lot of people don’t understand the reducer crown race. Agree you don’t need it, and it’s probably worse.

Watched it last night. Definitely see it as a more compelling idea for big ol ebikes compared to the Podium or even a run of the mill 38. The notable downside being so many ebikes have tubing that wouldn't be pleasant to run with a DH fork. Turning radius of a winnebago...

I pushed the rock shox product manager to keep the 35mm Boxxer and update with a tapered steerer and 15mm axle for these bikes. Shot down.

It would be sick to see Dak at FW mentoring Asa in his first couple elite years, probably be good for both of them honestly but can they afford him? I heard rumor of Maples to FW but I see him going to another Commencal team for some reason, seems Max likes him and I could see wanting to keep him in the family.

need to keep up with the Joneses points wise. Not as much of an issue for 2026 but 2027 has 3 year team licences on the line which runs to the end of the WB contract and then who knows what's going to happen. Canyon is running 3 men that are at the front of the field, Commencal will 4. Trek will most likely have 3+ and Specialized has their trio. If Dak is moving on from Mondraker then I can't see Gwin racing or any wildcard team being an option coming from a team with a lot more support...

Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…

If Dak could go to Norco that would be my top choice personally. They seem to be as committed as any team could be.

Did some extreme internet investigating.... And I found this!

Felt this was a fitting place to post my thoughts on running a Boxxer on a Spire. Spoiler Alert: Its the best setup I've run thus far. I genuinely don't understand why we don't see this more often, from ~160-170mm on up. Especially on e-bikes. I suppose price is part of it, but my real guess is what I'm going to call "mimesis"; we all broadly follow more than we lead. And breaking convention is hard.

He's been off canyon for years. He was on GT until it shit the bed earlier this year. He is just using old frames he has ATM.

Between Cruz trolling, having the good news for Kolb, and Stupid Sexy Flanders, this is the best page of online bullshittery I've read in a while.

Does this mean we’ll have to see Kolb in sexy speedsuits next year, too? Or are they only doing that with Jackson?

Now that photo is definitely AI 🤣

YT is just going to disappear from the standings and everyone below moves up a spot. By all accounts Vali and Oisin have already signed with new teams.

Not making fun, joining in the fun! 🙌
