Joe graney at Santa Cruz did a ton of work on outlands’ vpp to make the packaging and functions top system before Dave pretty much hacked that patent. Joe also pioneered sending bikes and prototype linkage sets to “locals” all over major market zones for real world testing before cell phones could even take good pictures. He was aligning the function of Vpp and its packaging with real world riders before a lot of brands even had teams.

Dude, when the man said ”influencers”, he actually meant the people who PUT IN THE WORK and changed our bikes for the good, not some guys from YouTube, who turn some knobs and are all in for the news. Before there were influencers of today, followed on social media, the people who were influencing stuff were the ones who worked in certain domains, mostly behind the scenes, and used their work to change their respective industries for the better. Was good to catch up with Adam and Carl when they were in town back in October . Still remember the first time Adam came to town in 2008. He brought just his Moto. Came back next year and smoked everyone. As a local I’ve seen it all during the classic and lived it while racing. Proud to be the 2008 jr x dh champ. Last year of dh only. Went on to get 30th in pro all mountain in 2010. 50min flat dh run and I owe a lot of my skill and speed up here to chasing Henry...

I was there when Weir muscled a flat all the way home from lower 1st divide and finished on 1/2 a rear wheel, when Jerome sputtered, when Kabush stomped everyone and won the XC and DH, for the old man vs young gun Weir/O'Donnell DH battles, when the Aussies came out in full lycra on their skinny tire XC rigs and almost took it, I rode the DH with Minnar (he was there just to party with the SC crew), I have sucked down about 25 blueberry pancakes made by Chris King, I attempted to hang on Levi "Baldy" Leipheimer's...

Haven’t finished listening yet. But on the set up part and with Mikey. He is just naturally fast af but I was the nerd at the time and still am. we lived together 2011-2013 ish I helped a lot with his bike and always worked on it for him. Was always chasing him trying to figure out how the f he was so fast. Definitely have had some heated arguments with Charlie at races too years ago. All in all love this pod cast with the homies. We all got after it back in the day. Would love to join...
