11/12/2025 2:33pm I think for those not as in tune with skateboarding they're kinda missing... The context. Phelps is the type of asshole that people tend to refer as "our asshole". He was not 'nice' and he was never attempting to mislead people into thinking so. Quite the opposite. He made it as known as possible that he is polarizing, and that skateboarding itself is polarizing. THAT SAID... He wasn't quite 'going out of his way' to specifically ruin someone's day. He is not evil. He is basically the end game level of core lord. The absolute apotheosis of lot lizard. He's...

11/10/2025 2:31pm The are a few other gems in the article I linked including Sacki from Bikeyoke personal Banshee Phantom. Tons of stock e-bike too but can be quickly scrolled past.

11/6/2025 2:34pm Just a heads up, Fox Factory and GoPro both report results tonight. I'll do my best to aggregate results, listen to conference calls (at least with Fox) and put a little post together. Cheers!

10/31/2025 4:19am In my opinion it's just a regular Lapierre GLP3 without the plastic cover (probably for better cooling/heat dissipation) ? Vincent Ledieu is working for Michelin, I don't think he is involved in Lapierre bikes development.

10/28/2025 6:59pm We will see about the dropper post but their prototype dropper lever had a really cool design and how it integrated the cable tension adjustment.

10/27/2025 3:35pm The big 3 is generally a term for the USA market and after Pon purchase is mostly referred as the big four with Trek, Giant, Specialized and Pon Cycling (Cannondale,GT,Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Gazelle, Focus, Urban Arrow, BBB, Nimbl, Schwinn, Mongoose, OneUp, Caloi, Kalkhoff, Veloretti) Merida would mostly be referred as the big 3 in terms of actual frame manufacturers with...

10/23/2025 2:07pm As someone that also went down the rabbit hole of L-Key vs Ratchet vs T-Handle (sliding or not), I say use what is most comfortable for you. All works plenty fine for most bike application. But there is definite wrong answer and that is the 3-way.

10/23/2025 9:38am I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE

10/21/2025 3:09pm I'm locking this thread for a day or two. Not trying to be rude, I'd actually love to jump in myself, but we've gone way off the rails. None of this ties back to the bike or outdoor industry directly. If you want to continue the AI discussion, please start a new thread, take it to X/Twitter, or head over to LinkedIn. Those platforms are built for this kind of speculation (and overflowing with this sort of banter). I want to keep this space focused on industry-specific topics. Nothing personal,I genuinely enjoy these conversations, this is just a "thread hygiene"...

10/21/2025 3:09pm I have a real hard time believing AI is going to result in some sort of utopia for the masses. There's enough money right now that we could all get some level of UBI and be working less and spending more time on our passion projects. But when have the ultra wealthy EVER wanted to part with even a little bit more of their money? If we just give them a few more tax breaks to pay for their data centers and help subsidize the cost of the electricity and water to run them so they can become trillionaires, THEN...

10/21/2025 3:07pm " The majority of jobs will be things where robots are just too expensive to do what a human can do with their hands." Ohhh man, we're all about to get a pretty rude awaking on this front. I really cannot understate how much of a wrecking ball AI will be across all industries, and I say that because I'm in the AI industry for work. Hearing what our investors are saying, and how we are positioning our company internally has me legit scared for a lot of people's jobs. White color is by far going to be the first...
