What a legend. I hope she adds 1 more to that list this weekend.
One of the heartbreaking things from her career was in 2021. She was leading the points standings going into the final race at Snowshoe. She needed a 4th place finish or better to take the overall after Vali Höll posted the fastest time. Myriam was the last rider to drop and was 3rd fastest at the 4th split, but then she went down in the final sector and ended up 7th in the race. She won 2 World Cups plus the World Championship that year.
so...following up on posts above-any word on any other north american venues next year prior to finals at whistler?
and i, too, am excited to see the asa vs jordan vs amaury showdown. and to see if jackson and finn and lachie have fire in their bellies after last week as well.

It’ll be Deer Valley.
Feel free to up vote or down vote but I’m going to come quote this when I’m right (OR eat crow) when the schedule comes out.
Track walk! Man, I know it fucking blew having to haul ass cross North America but so hyped to have more racing this weekend.
Not really a surprise hearing Danny confirm he's off Norco, but still kind of sad that he's probably going to have to look for a new team if he wants to race a full schedule next year. (Interview starts at 55:47 if anyone's interested.)
Fabian Barel just walked by and he says it’s sandy enough that it shouldn’t pack the tires too much, but they’ll keep an eye on it and try to manage the current slick conditions.
Excited to see how the track rides with some moisture. Last year this area was in a significant drought so things were much drier than our normal riding conditions in October.
Right after the first road crossing: The red line is faster but a lot of riders without the speed take the blue line but have to cut sharp right before the shark fin and lose speed.
Hey, @dantecusolito , if you run into Alden Pate see if you can get a photo of him standing next to one of the short riders. And ask him if he's still riding a converted e-bike in this race. Thanks!
Keep up the good work. Loving the photos and updates!

Is it slick?
Troy and Luca discuss that section in Troys video from trackwalk as it was where Luca lost the race last year. I figure that on raceday probably everyone will aim for the left line to keep the speed through the corner.
myriam's 100th world cup bike
She's been running that for a bit now. Cool setup - looks like a Cascade Components guide paired with the Sram crank mounted bash guard

Bruni just posted on IG that he's going to line up for practice tomorrow.
Maybe Kevin is retiring so he can sire a baby.

Alterra ponying up the cash? Seems like things are tight at the moment after last winter or that at least seems to be the vibe in town

Raining pretty hard right now. Should taper off around noon. Practice starts in 30 mins. Track was slick to walk up.![]()
