Looking at the womens times in Q1 it seems to be horrendous conditions.Edit: Maybe there's something going on at the UCI website. Feels like it shouldn't...

Q1 doesn't start for about 70 minutes. Not sure what you're looking at, but based on what the webcams look like at the resort, we're primed for straight-up wackiness and chaos!
On to Q2 for some notable riders: Pontvianne, Waite, Kuhn, Coulanges, Maples, Norton, Burke, Hatton, Kerr, Gwin, Vermette, O’Callaghan, Dunne, and Hartenstern.
I'm not actually 100% sure of what I witnessed today. This was by far the most unhinged thing I've ever seen involving bikes. Conditions, weather, riding, fans, etc... all completely unhinged.
Let me know if I'm figuring something wrong here, but:
If Vali Höll places 5th or higher in the final she clinches the Overall with 2 races remaining. This was her 4th time this year leading Q1 qualifying. She won the other 3 races after doing that.
Jonty Williamson needs just 70 points over the next 3 races - including tomorrow's final - to win the Junior men's Overall. (He's averaging about 52 points per race.)
With Lina Frener (2nd place in the standings) missing this race, Aletha Ostgaard is in the driver's seat, holding a 75 point lead over 3rd place Rosa Marie Jensen. Too much can happen between now and the end of the season to predict how it's likely to play out, but Aletha hasn't finished lower than 3rd so far this year and she already has 3 wins.
Men's Elite still looks like it could come down to the final race of the season, although Jordan Williams picked up 25 points in Q1 and now leads his nearest non-injured challenger, Amaury Pierron, by 140 points.
Or Sam Hill Champery in 2007. This mid 2000s era was arguably peak DH.
criminal shame this run was before the more modern coverage. wasn't it the very next year that Warner started doing freecaster stuff? has anybody ever tried to compile every single clip of sams run into one video? i just feel like there were almost no clips given... the time in history and the weather.
now that torqued my sprocket bolts! Hnnng.
It seems like Bode Burke's shoulder is feeling better, I guess.
Heavy rain all night and today for Qualies...

The track must be a mess. After the first 5 women down the hill it looks like times are about 1 minute slower than in timed training.
Women’s Q2 will feature Bouladou, Hemstreet, Gale, Roa Sanchez, Earnest, Blewitt, and Johnset, among others.
Vali Höll went fastest in Q1.

On the 1st gondola on the way down after Q1...I wish I could describe how bad the trail is to get from lift #2 to the start...

Boy, the number of DSQ (6), DNF (3), and DNS (13) in the men's Q2 pretty much tells you how bad the conditions were.
Saw something tat said Max crashed in Q1 and still finished P1
There's a new kid on the block in the juniors! https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/results-les-gets-world-cup-downhill-junior-qualifying.
INSANE!

Up there among the GOATs:
This is WILD
omg it didnt continue to rain through enough... its drying out after pissing down. there may be no track left by tomorrow... jeez
So it's a downhill foot race now? I would tend to say just cancel. It doesn't look fun to do and sure isn't much fun to watch.
If one rider can make a Danny Hart Champery style run out of it - it will be worth it for sure
Dang - when mud guards are more of a liability than a benefit
