The World Cup circus is back after a big break, returning to the classic French Les Gets venue. Lawlor will be there with the goods, riders like Ronan Dunne will return while others like Finn Iles are out due to injury. Weather looking iffy right now. Hopefully it's just enough moisture to make the dirt good.

I'm so happy to see Eleonora Farina on the entry list as a Privateer. She won only 1 World Cup race, but it was a memorable victory: In 2024, on a very sloppy track at Les Gets, she went almost 7 seconds faster than the 2nd place rider (Mille Johnset), with more than 24 seconds separating 1st and 5th places in the Women's race.
Also in 2024 at Les Gets, Amaury Pierron put down an incredible run and won the Men's Elite by 6.5 seconds. And the Junior finals were cancelled to allow the Elite riders to race earlier in the day due to a forecast that called for violent weather later in the day.
Fingers crossed for better conditions this year, despite the current gloomy forecast.
