So... that must be Dak to Gwin Racing?!

I was thinking Alden Pate, since he is quite tall.

He’s rode for them before he used to ride the RS205 as an enduro for EWS

In had the old chatgpt pull find the location of the next image in his story cause it looked like something on the west coast. The bot said Oregon/Washington at the mouth of the Columbia. Which sorta checks out but also an odd layover spot. Assuming he's going to southern California.

Clearly making room for Dak and Gwin.

At my job, when someone leaves under bad terms (gets fired, etc) an email goes out "wishing them well on their future endeavors" so that post reads oddly to me.

I thought this thread had already confirmed Dak to Scott like 5 times ? 😅

Generally when someone leaves on bad terms the don’t cross post the farewell along with their employer.

Angel moving on felt inevitable, he hasn’t had the results. I don’t think Frameworks will bring on someone big. I think they stick with what they have and Neko brings on a couple young kids. That feels like what his niche is right now, building the future of racing.

In the same post she does say she's off to Spain for a new bike day? Maybe a commencal ambassador?

Commencal are not based in Spain.

Just to clarify, I don't think Angel is leaving under bad terms.

It just reads funny to me because of the same phrasing used at my work.

I agree with you that Angel was always going to leave Frameworks, part of the reason Neko could afford him was Uno was still paying out part of his salary. It was a win for both Frameworks and Angel. FW got an experienced rider they couldn't afford at startup, and Angel got a team spot when Uno closed up.

Big question is if they'll put him straight on Specialized Gravity (like Rosa now is) or if he'll still be Gen S if that exists?

i think he had one year left before worldcups but intresting that commencal didnt keep him on when they have such a track record in doing so as at some of the french cups hes top 3 scratch within some of Frances biggest names but most likely gen s until a junior

I know but Andorra is pretty close to Spain and will be under snow at the moment. Also she has history with the company.

I'm basing this on nothing but at least 50% of this thread is also

I've always just assumed so since he's a part-owner in Crestline.

I read that post with Niko's voice in my head. Typical honest, straightforward, somewhat dry presentation. I assume he wrote it.

Indeed. I just remember seeing a post way back saying he was gunna be on something different. Wondering was it confirmed he's on Crestline.

the sheer and absolute SPEED at which a retired person jumps into pickleball. jeez

jokes aside Cami plays ice hockey which makes her one of the coolest MTBers... I wanna see her 1v1 finn and jackson. let's set the record straight.

Cam may be a national level player from swiss, but if the lads have any significant time on the ice, I'd still wager they would be more talented than her. I've seen random pond hockey by a small university have multiple players that could pull things off that would be seen as world level 20 years ago.

In short I still think average Canadian player > Swiss womens National level player in most instances. The level of competition here is nuts.

This was a thought I was having, too.

He's not really made a splash at Pivot through juniors nor into elites so maybe a change of scenery would turn things for him a bit. He's had a lot of injuries which definitely doesn't help. I always thought he was a good rider and had good energy in all the Pivot-related vlogs.

And Frameworks is Conti, Gwin is E-Thirteen. I think Neko is committed to Conti. But tire sponsors can change for 2026. Hopefully Dak tells us what's up in a few days. Although if he plays us for a month or so it would be funny. 😄
