On Brage I'm feeling like he might end up on Trek. They have a history of having great freeriders and slope athletes, they have the bikes, presumably they have the money.
I noticed that too. Hanging out with Kade and others. And they make those 'Sesh' frames for the riders, that aren't available for retail. It's just tough to say cuz literally everyone loves Brage, hangs with everyone, and his stock is through the roof so... I mean he could be legit fielding offers but deciding based on culture more so than... Numbers. I hope he strikes that balance, regardless.

I'm curious to see how she makes her Adidas Five ten deal work and the Saalbach issue too. She's definitely not stoked to have to pull outta of personal deals mid term just to make the commencal deal work. But needs must etc..
Do we really think she had to abandon those deals? She should’ve been most coveted person. Teams could have also made concessions. It’s not like she...

Unfortunately, those team sponsors ultimately pay a pretty good portion of her check from the team. So, if there's a conflict between the team sponsors and personal deals, the rider will have to decide between staying on the team or staying with the personal contract..

I get that part but I would think that someone of her level would be able to get a team that will work with her sponsors if was a big issue for her.It must not have been as big of an issue for her if she quickly choose a team that had conflicts.

Vali had really limited options i imagine.
She will not leave SRAM/RS. So that means either she ran her own team or signed with Canyon, Trek or Commencal. Canyon have Marine and Aletha, Vali would not go back to Trek as she was vocal on not liking the bike and Commencal muc-off have Myriam and maybe just too many top tier riders to also add Vali?
So the only option was Commencal Les Orres which is also run by her coaches. My hunch, as I said previously, is that Vali's personal salary from sponsors these past few years was probably as much as all of Les Orres budget. But I could be wrong.
In the future I imagine Vali will replace Myriam on Muc-offor maybe even sign with Mondraker?
Every step of the way , sounds trekkkkkkking to me….
He ain’t on trek, I saw the whole trek team testing at my local trails a couple weeks ago. And Greenland wasn’t one of em. They all had matching gear and bikes and were doing a lot of photography and video. I doubt they would be doing all that missing a key rider, plus there were already 4 elites there. Osin, Lachy, Walker and Ollie.

I don't think some of these deals were that big.. We aren't talking Deegan signing with Fox type of numbers here..
It reminds me of something that I heard about way back in the day.. I was working for Diamondback and one of the top riders didn't like some of the team sponsors and went to management with his wanting the sponsors to be changed. They told him, "Those companies are responsible for 75% of your paycheck. "
Vali could have done her own deal similar to what Nina did prior to getting her spot on the Syndicate and given her standing, she would have had a bigger budget to work with, but that's a lot of work that not every rider wants to deal with on top of everything she needs to do continue being a top rider.
What do you think will be labeled as "The worst kept secret in downhill" this year. There's always 2 or 3 per season that use that term for a press release. I'm going with Osin on Trek for the most obvious one.
I hope she keeps up the You Tube channel. Good stuff!
Agreed. She seems like a good rider and a good person to have at the races. It makes me curious of how she'd do if she were on a race team. I THINK last year she was just getting product support and not really on a race team of any sort.

Her course previews for PB were pretty good, too!
She still Wouldn’t qualify Her times are so far off.

I'm pretty sure Mondraker want young talent to go with Ronan... so Dak gone. But I doubt he'll be replaced by someone like Greenland. It'll be a young up and coming racer.
Big question is what will Mondraker do for a top female racer?
Dak is one hundred percent going to scott.
I would like to see Greenland on Mondraker, he was one them in the past.

I guess I was thinking of it from a "how much could a person can improve going from privateer to full team" thought experiment....but you're welcome...

You are 100% correct. Her times would improve big-time with full support. Even Vali has said how much harder it was when she lost support this year. Some people attribute negative direct statements with feeling intelligent. The right bike and support can make a world of difference in results.
There's a lot that goes into racing a full WC DH season.. Planning all that out is a distraction that most riders don't want on top of all the stuff thay have to do to be ready to race..

and yet if you look at the results: every race multiple "factory team" racers qualified with similar and slower times. Many of those same racers also made the finals multiple times this season. It isn't a huge jump to say she would make the finals regularly with more support.
Damn. What a contract season kiefer had. Probably easily double or tripled his value.
Kiefer is for shure the Mens banger since this season. Entering the top10 ist serious business and for shure not a one hit wonder. Exited to follow his progress. Especially some of his lines were outstanding, which means he has the skills and confidence. The whole canyon team was pretty impressive though.
Quite easy to see they are Magura Gustav brakes

Mikayla Parton off Canyon
She’s Parton ways with Canyon
That's a PB worthy answer right there..

You forgot to sugarcoat the honesty for the forum

I would be stoked to see him on trek.
Greenland to A would be nice but I am not convinced yet.
Dak to whatever brand is nice. Hope he is racing next year.

Definitely a breakout season for Kiefer.. It's going to be fun watching him progress..
She is certainly a likable personality. So hope she lands something solid.

looks like Vero Widmann is off Mondraker, as she's got a nex project coming up next year. any guesses?
Cami making the switch to pickleball?
That's where the money is at now...
Nope - that’s Padel (Pickleball’s European cousin)
