"The 2016 Sea Otter eMTB race route will offer a few road descents, single track trails, challenging distance, and a bit of climbing are all part of the eMTB race experience. The race is time based - 60 minutes in duration - kind of a hybrid between short track and cross country."

is the end near or is this the future?

No to eMountainBikes unless supporting physical disability.

I've just recently built up an eBike for going to work and it's going well… Not as comfy as the truck (especially now that it's winter here), but fun enough to keep trying to be greener.

Face it, sea otter is such a washed out event with terrible tracks that they will take on any event to try and stop people from not going, even an E-bike race

There are many useful and fun applications for ebikes. Of all of the possibilities, mountain bike racing them is the absolute highest tier of asininity. In fact, I can't even come up with a more absurd metaphor. Truly highest tier.

Go Ebike race road bikes all you want because they won't have trail abuse issues and loss of riding habitat like we will.

This is just another example of money ruining things. The Sea Otter organizers just couldn't turn down the Bosch money could they.

We are now officially a motorsport. End

WTH! They were setting up the shitty XC course with a bunch of Fire Road routes, and claimed that can't have a people running into the single tracks as that would ruin the trails. And now they slap in the e-Bike race?
