Transition Kevin loves U-Line in Bellingham right? When did that become your favorite trail?

Just purchased the new Sentinel frame to replace my current one. Super stoked, should get here tomorrow! Do you guys have any recommendations on tool/gear storage mount solutions to utilize that extra set of water bottle cage bolts on the top tube? Like WolftTooth, etc?

Why is the seattube the only part of a bike without a seal on it to keep water and dirt out?
Sounds like you need to get yourself a seatpost bud. They seal those seattubes up pretty well!

How's the new Sentinel feel with a coil? And do you recommend any coils in particular to run on the new bike?

I have a 2018 Sentinel. What is the difference between that and the new Sentinel?

How come the new Patrol and Sentinel aren't offered with Shimano builds?

Can we get SBG DH?
When we developed our SBG geometry and worked with the major suspension suppliers to standardize and bring the shorter crowns to market we were purely focused on single crown bikes. It's taken a few years but it's finally becoming such an industry wide trend we're seeing it trickle down (or up) to downhill forks. These products were a much bigger hurdle at the time so we didn't attempt to tackle it. So this is awesome to see.

New Smuggler in the works?
Any thoughts on varying CS lengths by bike size?

Anyways, are you guys making any more Kulshan Party in the Woods fenders and water bottles? Mine were stolen sadly and I wasn't able to replace them before they sold out.

Bummer, hopefully your bike wasn't attached? No plans to make any more water bottles, but I think Kulshan will be making some more fenders locally with Ground Keeper, or maybe contact them directly and see if she can print you up a new one?

What's your favorite post ride beer/drink currently?
I still have my PBR edition bottlerocket on the wall still covered in dirt from the last time she was ridden. Any chance you might do another brewery collaboration?
Carbon bottlerocket?

The combo of a Wolf Tooth B-RAD (medium) strap for a spare tube on the TT with a water bottle cage and OneUp pump plus EDC tool on the DT mounts will get you pack free rides with dedicated spots for everything. --Sam

Will we see the smuggler dominate the downcountry category, or are there plans for an entirely new model? Loving the new scout, but I want to crush the local Lycra nerds without beating my legs into the ground. Great job on the new kinematics. A part of me is glad the new sentinel in large is preorder only. My wallet thanks you (for now).

It does not, as long as the factory paint is removed responsibly.

Hey guys, big fan over here! Have you ever considered using flip chips for the rear axle? Seems like an easy way to allow people to choose their chainstay length w/o much compromise (from what little I know). 5mm makes a difference in my opinion. I guess same question for the rear shock mount, but that’s a bit more complicated and I like that y’all offer shock stroke options now as an alternative. Thanks!

Many small things, but they all add up. Biggest highlights... improved suspension performance with increased progression, ncreased seatpost insertion, added tire clearance. The first Sentinel was a great bike and ahead of it's time, the new one just takes everything a step further. --Sam

Carbon bottlerocket?
Obviously our new beer collab with Kulshan Brewery "Party in the Woods" Hoppy Lager! Hot tip, the new can labels are high quality printed stickers that can be removed for all sorts of art projects....such as completely covering your frame. You will have to drink at least 69 beers for this, but I think you're up for the challenge!

The Sentinel that replaced my smuggler was also stolen unfortunately. My LBS had my exact bike as part of their demo fleet so I was able to find a cheap replacement. Thanks for heads up! I'll do some investigating!

Tech question here...with roughly 50% of bicycle companies using "Horst" link suspension designs, do you guys experiment with/ride other designs to see if there is a potential different route to explore in the future? A way to differentiate yourselves further beyond your already awesome bikes, brand image, value, and customer support?

We focus on keeping things simple, effective and durable whenever possible and we think the geo is dialed as is. There is a lot going on with that back wheel and we like to keep the connection nice and solid. --Sam

How long is your mullet right now, Sam?

When might people consider swapping out for a shorter-stroke shock to take advantage of less travel on your new bikes? Which rear shocks are you guys digging most on them?

Anything additional you can share about the new latexed EPS process? Those sharper carbon frame lines look great. Does it offer other benefits?

Why the super recessed rear pivot bolt on the inside of the stays?

No reason at all really. We have not had much Shimano on the builds in the past few years, but we had Shimano spec bikes in the past and might again one day. What do you want? I will assume XTR only, right? --Sam

We tend to only make products we're really into...and there was a time we we're REALLLY into Klunkin, we would hold races in costumes and even Klunk enduros, it was a good time, sadly that time has passed! I wouldn't say never, but nothing in the works at the moment.

That's a great question. Every once in a while one of us will have an opportunity to ride an other brands bike. But it is not something we seek out to test for development purposes. I doubt this is standard protocol with the rest of our peers. We just keep doing our thing!
