I see Nina wining one round, definitely there is a lot of potential. And for men I'll say: Matt Walker (NZ), Eddie Masters, Finn Iles, Joe Breeden, Charlie Hatton, Charlie Harison - all these guys are really fast...I would love to see some new faces on podium this year.
I think Finn has potential this year, he seemed to be struggling to find the battle between pushing too hard and not hard enough. But I think after last year he will have figured it out and could be a real threat.
Got my eye on Cabirou, I think we will all be sursprised by her pace.
Mr Johannes von Klebelsberg. He's got actual team support this year, much deserved, he's proper fast.
Deanos and Harrison are in a great place in terms of mindset and fitness and besides they are fast riders... I see any of the two making it happen in 2020.
As much as everyone would like to see Nina win, she’s up against a stacked field and so far she’s shown podium potential but I don’t think she’s ready for the win yet. Give her a consistent year and she’s top 5 for sure though.
Luca’s mind was out of it the whole of last year, he never got back to podium pace but hopefully he’s back in it this year, and Vergier too!
I’d like to see Brosnan and Laurie take another each as well as Wallace take a win but between Amoury, Loic, Danny, and Minaar I think it’s gonna be a hard fight!

Martin Whiteley posting on Vital? Ordered descending by number of wins...nice
If you do a little digging on Redbull TV, he spoke on the latest episode of "The Fast Life" and talked about the same topic. It's amazing at how few people have actually won a world cup. (Mens, 44). Even more interesting, only 50% have won more than a single race.

Also, only one male rider has won a World Cup in his debut year in Elite. That was Gee Atherton at Round 3 in Schladming, back in 2004. Both Greg and Sam won their first WC in their 2nd year of elite. Nicolas Vouilloz won a World Cup as a Junior (the first ever World Cup in 1993), and then won his second race as a 2nd year elite in 1995.
For the women, three have won races in the debut elite year, Anne-Caroline Chausson, Rachel Atherton and Tracey Hannah. Three women have also won World Cups as juniors when the field was combined....Anne-Caroline, Sari Jorgensen and Nolvenn Le Caer.

My money is on Marine. Vali will be an interesting one. Rachel? Is she defiantly coming back? With all the Athertons have going on I would not be surprised if she decided to retire. She is used to dominating and I think those days are over for many reasons.

From her ig recovery posts it looks to me like she will be back, and even if she doesn’t dominate like she previously has, she still has a good couple of seasons in which she could potentially Still win the overall. There’s more competition now, which I think will only push her to ride harder.
The real question is if she gets back to top form, can the others actually compete or have they just been looking fast because she hasn’t been?
I’d be interested to compare some of her previous winning times to last year’s winning times on the same courses?

Cool fun facts
...I hope too see Gee back on podium this year. The man is a machine. Win a world cup round in his elite debut then 2nd place at Rampage in 2004... There are many good riders but for me Gee and Jared Graves are the most impressive in terms of results in various MTB disciplines.
But for the sake of the post.
