Gee. His last 3 video parts were insane. Would love to see him there. Chriss akrigg. He’s put out many bangers. Would love to see him do a few more commited moves again. But his style translates well to camera and he is creative as hell when it comes to his parts. If they are interested in another trials guy akrigg is the best in the business at mtb trials. Consider this part two to the ‘Are Upside-Down forks really flexy?’ topic from around the turn of new year, where the inevitable question was asked of how dual crown forks fit into the stiffness was asked. When I travel to wetter climates such as the PNW I run different tires. DHR/Assegai is my go to for aggressive riding but seeing as Americans likely won’t be allowed into Canada this year, I likely won’t be swinging a trip to Bellingham either...and most of my riding will be on dry rocky terrain, this combo rolls well and has enough grip even in the steeps.

I think most people judge bikes before they even sort out their spring rates. "This bike pedals like crap." 40% sag. "This bike is really soft and dead feeling." No volume spacers. "This bike is really bad on steep trails." Fork too soft. "It's so harsh on rough trails." Also fork too soft.

Riders should have to pass a test on the effects of low and high speed damping before being allowed to buy a modern shock. It's crazy to me that even at some bike shops this remains a mystery. There are SO many people out there on crazy expensive bikes with complete garbage tunes.

55/150 isn't crazy. I think the new S Enduro is 60/170 - way higher, and no reported issues really. The "other site" has an entire angry mob about this shock placement, as if putting the shock there may open middle earth and cause anti-matter to start spewing out. (seriously, people are really upset about it...)

I vote Luca Shaw. He's had some really good placings while looking so entirely in control. And didn't he get second once last year? I think he's had a good off season of training and mental focus and will come out swinging this year.
